My kindergarten students are using iPads to learn from home. We gather virtually each day in our online classroom to build community and learn together. Their iPads are their windows to learning and to each other during this pandemic. My students needs tools to make learning on iPads more effective. It's difficult for students to prop up the iPads to get the camera focused on their faces. It's not uncommon to see only an ear, forehead, or even a ceiling fan in the Google Meet grid. Adjustable iPad stands would help students set up their iPads at an angle that would make their faces visible to their teacher and their classmates. It will also put the iPads in a position for better screen viewing while working on apps. Home has become the place where children learn and parents work side by side. Siblings are simultaneously participating in online learning with their teachers. Parents are having conversations with clients or co-workers. The various sounds in the home make it difficult for students to focus. The headsets with headphones and noise-cancelling microphone will minimize unwanted noise. Students will be able to focus without distractions and their voices will not be drowned out by background sounds in their home.
