Flexible seating allows students to choose a place in the classroom where they can perform their best. It allows students to work together, communicate with each other and increases students' engagement. Providing my students with as many flexible seating options allows all students to choose an environment that works best for them. My students need choices for flexible seating in their 4th grade science class: stack stools, wobble cushion, and bed risers. It is important to me that every student comes into class and is ready to work. That means they need to be comfortable in an environment and seating arrangement where they can focus, stay on task, and engage in a lesson. These flexible seating choices will enable my students to do just that.
