Reading Help Us Tall
Funded Jan 6, 2022Thank you all so much for your support. My students are learning how to share and be kind to each other. Everyday we read and ask and answer questions about SEL books. During snack students talk about how they can help each other . Last week they asked how they can make their school be better. Maximus said we can throw garbage in the trash can. Jaziyah said not hitting we can hug. We are a family thanks to your generosity.
We can all make a different. Thank you from k-201. Now we can read and learn.”
With gratitude,

Funded Sep 4, 2018I want to take a moment and say Thank You for your generous donation that has allowed my students to gain needed math visual to solve math problems and sensory input with flexible seating. My students were and are still very excited about the flexible seating and math manipulatives. Their faces will light up when they get to choose their seating to complete their math assignments.
Since receiving and using flexible seating, several of my students can now sit for more than 15 minutes to complete a task.
The flexible seating and math pads are used throughout the day in multiple ways. For some students, they are used as reinforcers for completing their work, and at times they are used before they start their work for sensory input. The student loves to rock and sit on the chair. We also use the stools to count up to 20 while they rock them self on it. After rocking, the students are more focused and ready to learn and have been able to participate in longer whole group activities. Some students like to use the flexible seating chair gently to rock side-to-side for a "cocooning-calm."
I realized that everyone seemed to be happy, engaged in their work, and relaxed.
I have seen the progress that my students have made since the materials have arrived and so have their parents.
Thank you again for your support of my students and my classroom. We are very grateful and appreciative for having you as a classroom partner!”

Funded Aug 3, 2017I want to take a moment and say Thank You for your generous donation that has allowed my students to gain needed sensory input. My students were and are still very excited about the sensory trampoline and the Pea Pod chair. Their faces will light up when they get to jump on the trampoline and sit on their sensory chair to read.
Since receiving and using the sensory trampoline and pea pod chair, several of my students can now sit for more than 15 minutes to complete a task.
The sensory trampoline and pea pod chair are used throughout the day in multiple ways. For some students they are used as reinforcers for completing their work, and at times they are used before they start their work for sensory input. The students love to jump on the trampoline and seat on the chair. We also use the trampoline to count up to 20 while they jump. After jumping on the trampoline, the students are more focused and ready to learn and have been able to participate in longer whole group activities. Some students like to use the Pea Pod chair gently to rock side-to-side for a "cocooning-calm."
I will continue to use the sensory materials for instruction and for my students to receive the needed sensory input that can help calm themselves and focus on their learning. I have seen the progress that my students have made since the materials have arrived and so have their parents.
Thank you again for your support of my students and my classroom. We are very grateful and appreciate for having you as a classroom partner!”
