  • Color Prints are the Best!

    Funded Dec 16, 2024

I can't thank you enough for your generosity! I am extremely grateful, and my students are going to be very excited about this addition to our classroom. A color printer will be an invaluable asset to my classroom, providing students with the tools they need to strive and excel for the rest of the school year. Thank you again for supporting my request for our classroom wishlist.”

  • We Need Books for Our Class Library

    Funded Jan 14, 2024

In my class, we teach many different skills throughout the school year. Some skills are summarizing, identifying the theme, making predictions, retelling, making connections, cause and effect, problem and solutions, and other skills. These new books allow students to have a variety of resources to help build comprehension and master various skills. Using instructional methods that are proven to build positive reading outcomes for students will help to build foundational skills for both native English speakers and non-English speaking students.

All readers are searching for a book to grab their interest and inspire them to open the cover and begin. Kids are naturally more likely to want to read books they can see themselves in or mirror their experiences. Kids enjoy reading new books for a variety of reasons, which can be both practical and emotional. New books allow individuals to discover new authors, genres, and subjects. It's a chance to explore unfamiliar territory and expand their reading horizons. New books create a sense of anticipation and excitement. Students forward to delving into the pages and experiencing the story or knowledge within.”

  • Help Keep My Students Organized This Upcoming School Year!

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Thank you so much for the set of classroom chair pockets. Student were overjoyed to get these chair pockets. They couldn't wait for me to open the box. These chair pockets have provided additional storage for my students to put their belongings in instead of on the floor. In addition, chair pockets allow students to take responsibility for maintaining the organization of their supplies. It has definitely helped my students with transitioning and keeping our classroom nice and tidy. Thank you once again!”

  • We Need Independent Reading Books

    Funded Jun 21, 2022

Thank you so much for funding books for our classroom library. My students were so excited to see a variety of books on their reading level. As a result, my students can engage in reading and develop as readers in essential skills such as vocabulary, fluency, and expanding their comprehension. My students actually look forward to borrowing books to read daily/weekly. For the past couple of years, they have been reading books online. One of my students claimed she was able to move up reading levels because she now had books on her reading level.

I truly appreciate everything you have done to help me build my 3rd-grade classroom library. My students love and enjoy reading, and new books will increase their interest and desire to read more as well as increase their reading stamina. Funding my project will go a long way for years to come with each new class.”

  • We Need Some Essential Supplies

    Funded Sep 14, 2018

My students were so excited to receive all of these materials that will help keep their desks and our classroom organized for both classes on a daily basis. The carpet now allows my students a place they could use for meeting in small group/one to one/whole group discussions. These supplies helped create a more engaging learning environment for my students, which now allows them to dive into their learning. The materials we received for our classroom project focused on classroom organization, decoration and simple material to help student engagement. These essential supplies such as the colored caddies, colored storage bins, markers, pencils for each group in the class have helped support a healthy, successful, and productive place for students to learn.”

  • Technology in Classroom

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

My students were so excited to receive the Amazon Fire tablets, which allowed them to do research, search websites, and work on educational apps to help develop academically.

My students used the durable cases, headphones and a classroom charging station for our new educational equipment. Since we received these items my students have been so excited work on new educational programs that involve hands-on learning in our classroom. These items have helped benefit 64 students (our 5th grade is departmentalized). My students work hard in class they are always focusing on achievement and college readiness. With technology growing in the classrooms, my students 21st century skills will be strong. Thank you so much for supporting our future, my students are excited.

Everyday my students would come to school eager to learn with a smile on their face. Some come from homes where technology surrounds them, and some come from homes without any technology. We were able to take learning to the next level and adding technology to make learning more fun! My students want to learn in a fun and innovative way.

The class set of headphones helped prepare my students for the New York State Examination, students use the computer-based program I-Ready. This assessment tracks student's strengths and weaknesses and provides additional lessons based on student's performances. The headphones helped students with sounding words out and learning on the computer by allowing them the opportunity to concentrate.”

  • Help Educate our Students!

    Funded Apr 14, 2017

I am writing this letter to thank you for your very generous donation to my class' education. You truly did a wonderful thing. Your support means so much, not only to the school, but to the kids you are helping. My students in the prior school year loved and enjoyed reading the new books. Almost all of my students moved up a reading level by June. My new students for this school year will be so excited to start the new school year with a wide range of reading books and other books of interest to choose from in their reading level bin. This way my students will be able to engage in reading and develop as readers in important skills such as vocabulary, fluency, and expanding their comprehension.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. G.

Our class is in great need of books! We need books with a wide reading and interest level for all students to choose good fit books to read. My students love and enjoy reading and new books will increase their interest and desire to read more as well as increase their reading stamina. My students created wish-lists of what they would like to see in our library so they greatly hope this project gets funded! My students will be able to engage in reading and develop as readers in important skills such as vocabulary, fluency, and expanding their comprehension. All of these skills are standards and we model, practice, and engage in these skills constantly throughout the year in partnership, small group, whole group, and independently.
