A Colorful Classroom

Thank you again for helping to give my students the tools they need to be as successful as possible.When I first saw that people had given to my project, I was overwelmed with joy. This project has brought color and light into our classroom. The students love entering the colorful space that we have created together. We had so many exciting ideas that we couldn't wait to try out! We created t-shirts for shows, water bottles for the end of the year. quotes to beautify our classroom, and personalized logos for each of them.”

Funded Mar 14, 2023When I first saw that people ha given to my project was I overcome with joy. It is with great gratitude and appreciation that I submit this impact letter to you for your kindness and willingness to give, toward the innovation of technology into our classroom. With the computer that was donated we have been able to tap into further learning with the use of smaller groups to focus on differentiation amongst our students. We have also been able to utilize the Internet to participate in research projects and web based math lessons. Although, we have computers in the classroom, this allows for more availability of the technology, which can be limited when you have a large class.
The use of the computers and technology are also better preparing our young students for the technology based world that they will grow up in. Having this extra laptop will have them ready to learn in that capacity.
Again, thank you for your donation. Our children's faces light up when technology is pulled out. They love the fact that they can have access to fun math, at the touch of a few buttons. We thank you that our students have an abundance in school, even though that may not be the case elsewhere."”

Engaging Materials and Activities
Funded Oct 4, 2023It is with tremendous gratitude and appreciation that I submit this impact letter to my donors for your kindness and generosity to give towards my project. These resources have had such an incredible impact on my students' lives. The use of the Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards are already beginning to show growth in the students. With these gift cards we were able to purchase differentiated worksheets to go along with our reading and math programs. Students work in differentiated groups and now can focus on a task that is geared towards their specific goals.

Laptop for Learning!
Funded Mar 27, 2018Technology has greatly impacted each and every one of my students. Technology is such an integral part of every classroom environment today. Being able to receive a laptop within my classroom has been incredible since technology is such an integral part of our learning environment. I am able to do so many new things with my students now that we have access to this laptop. It is in the best interest of the children to use technology within the classroom to further their learning and skills that we want our students to gain. Soon enough everything will be done on computers so to be able to introduce these skills to my students now is a huge plus.
Since our mornings begin with math, my students enter the classroom asking if they can come up the board to complete the problem of the day even before they unpack. They love the animations that I use on the computers, they love that we can play Jeopardy as review for tests, and they love that we can watch videos and then compete interactive activities together. The ability to have such a great laptop with endless opportunities is incredible.
I have many students who are specifically quiet and to themselves and unless I call on them, they will not participate. Since I have such a strong belief in making learning fun and enjoyable, by constantly including technology these students have really come out of their shell and are voluntarily participating.”

Funded Dec 20, 2016When the package got delivered to our classroom my students were amazed! The next morning when the students came in, I had all the laptops charged, set up and ready for use. The look of excitement on my students face was indescribable. Many of my students don't receive presents for their birthdays or holidays so this was beyond their dreams.
We have used our laptops for so many different projects and activities. For example, the students each researched someone for Black History Month. We have also used the computers for daily math lessons. The math program that we use has a great animated mode for extra descriptions of lessons. When we break up into groups, one group goes on the laptops to watch the animated lesson and complete the group work on the computers. Currently the students are working on a "web quest". Each group of students is researching an animal and will be creating a Powerpoint presentation to present to the class.
I think the most exciting part of having the laptops in the classroom is the availability. The students are aware that the laptops are theirs to use. For example, anytime they're doing work and find the need to look something up, or see a picture of something, they know they have completely free access to the laptops.
