My goal is to foster a love of reading at a young age and to provide high interest books in an organized system in order to allow easy access to many genres of books to use at school and home when possible. I want all of my students to be exposed to a variety of fiction and non-fiction books in order to increase their vocabulary and fluency by reading books that are on their level. The books will be organized in bins based on specific categories which will allow the students to choose books of interest. They will also be allowed to take home the small First Little Readers each week in order to practice with their families. Kindergarten students love to show their families that they can read! In addition, I teach in a very old, but well loved school. We had a major flood this past summer and I lost 3 boxes of books. Your donation will help my 15 amazing Kindergarteners-and the many classes that will follow-with a robust reading environment! We will truly appreciate any donations! Thank you for your consideration!
