  • Cool to Be Calm Kit

    Funded Nov 12, 2020

    The students at Delaware Elementary School are loving the "Cool to be Calm" kits that were created, thanks to your generosity. Students in grades 3rd through 6th, approximately 220 children, are able to access calming tools within the kit in order to self-regulate without interruption to learning. The playdoh, kinetic sand, and friendship bracelet string make for great activities when students are feeling anxious or upset. Thank you to all those who donated so that our Eagles can continue to SOAR high during these unprecedented times. Your thoughtfulness is truly appreciated!”

The items contained in these kits will assist the calming process as stress and anxiety become present in the classroom. As we ease back into our school routine, the reality of COVID-19 and the many new, unprecedented circumstances will bring about stress and anxiety for our students. These kits will help all students create their own calm thus enhancing the learning process. Our goal is to supply all students in grades 3 through 5 with a "Cool to be Calm" kit that will be kept at their seats to use as needed to deter stress and anxiety.

About my class
