  • Graphic Novels: The Gateway Books

    I cannot thank you enough for your support on this project. My students absolutely love to read graphic novels and I cannot keep them in stock! In the pictures I uploaded as part of this thank yous for this project, I show what my graphic novel section looked like before this project and what it looked like after. In fact, a few days after all those books went out, my graphic novel section looks similar to where I started because the kids were so excited to have more options! I always want to encourage reading, and graphic novels, comic books are great options to pull in those more reluctant readers. Thank you again for helping build my in-class library.”

  • Colored Paper for Better Organization

    Thank you so much for supporting my classes with this project. Organization is a true area of struggle for my students, and the colored paper provided by this project will help me to ensure they retain important materials all year long and, hopefully, show them that they too can create and enforce their own organizational systems throughout their years of education. Colored paper is such a helpful tool, yet it can be one of the most expensive items out there, so I appreciate so much your support for this particular project.”

  • Basic School Supplies for Amazing Students

    I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support on this project. This project, more than many other, means so much to me because so many of my students are unprepared on a day to day basis, and the supplies for this project help with that very fundamental problem. I am able to supply students with what they need to be successful - from something as simple as a pencil or pen to a highlighter to annotate important information to post-its to help them take notes. Every single one of these supplies is instrumental to the success of my students, and you are a huge part of that. Thank you.”

My school is a Title I School, which means it is high poverty and more than 3/4 of my students qualify for free lunch. These students are amazing, and deserve to have only the best provided to them. I do my very best to support them every single day. I have completely rebuilt my in-class library to offer over 1,000 books. I am constantly refreshing my library and listening to the request and needs of my students. Additionally, many of my students do not have the necessary supplies for school. I am always working to be fully stocked on everything they need. Donors Choose has been amazing with regards to supporting me, and to supporting my students. I thank anyone for reading this, and/or for donating to support my classroom.
