My students love Science because they learn and discover things that they do not see with their naked eyes. It is hard for them to understand if the things they are learning are not visible.
I work in a Title 1 school which means that most of our students belong to low-income families. We have very limited access to materials that we need to teach them. I believe that observing prepared slides and atoms will make them become more curious and will expand their understanding of the things around them. Curiosity will give them the desire to explore more and understanding things around them will make them more caring to other living things and to the environment. These are the goals I wanted to achieve apart from learning to use the microscope and atoms.
