  • Learning With Technology

    Funded Oct 8, 2010

I cannot fully express my gratitude to you. Your kind and generous donations have already had a tremendous impact on my students in just a short amount of time. The computer is used with both my younger and older students. It is really useful and it provides us with different venues of learning. My students are able to learn new vocabulary words, research different topics and even take customized tests to sharpen their skills.

Our school is facing serious budget cuts and without your generosity we would never have been able to provide the students with such crucial resources.

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. R.

  • Leaping into Literacy

    Funded Dec 18, 2009

I would like to express my gratitude to you for your most generous donation. The photos on the website do not give justice to the amazing manifestations of your generosity. The books and story telling kits you have provided for us have created a fun and positive earning environment in my classroom.

The children who used to hate reading are now fighting who will get which book first. They are so eager to read and explore new worlds with this wonderful exposure to literacy! Additionally, the children are gaining crucial language concepts and skills as well as improving their phonological awareness skills.

Before this project was funded, my students lacked stimulating activities to work with during their free period. Many students were also very bored as they had been reading with similar choice options since kindergarten. Your donation has enriched reading time in my classroom. It is clear that the range of books donated fosters cooperative learning among the students and has also helped build a stronger classroom community.

Without your help most of my students would not have the opportunity to experience such an enriching exposure to literacy. Thank you so much for the wonderful opportunities you have provided my students as well as the future of America!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. R.

I am a speech therapist in a Title 1 elementary school, servicing students from grades K-5 with a focus on special ed. It is unfortunate that the majority of my students come from poverty stricken homes. Some children don't even have homes, they live in shelters. The parent body in my school is extremely hard working; as they struggle to support their families on their meager incomes. The parents are eager to help their children but are often lacking the resources to do so.
