Technology is nothing new to most classrooms. I have had tablets in my classroom for the last two years and the kids enjoy some of the apps that we have been able to find. The award-winning Osmo hands-on educational system takes learning a step further by bridging the gap between the digital and physical world and enabling the iPads to provide endless opportunities for interactive creativity and problem solving. These kits will allow my afford my students the opportunity to extend their learning in many areas including engineering, art, spelling, open ended math exploration and puzzle solving. In addition to the educational benefits of these tools, the interactive component will help foster the development of social skills among these kiddios. In a society where we have become so accustomed to ignoring the people around us while we utilize technology, this ground breaking tool will encourage my kids to problem solve together, challenge one another or encourage each other all while learning. The Osmo tools will help develop academic and social intelligence in all of the kids in my class!
