The high school science classroom is in need of a more advanced microscope. The new microscope would have wireless capabilities, and students will be able to see the image on a screen. It will help students to learn to use the microscope and give them an idea of what they are looking for when they do microscope work on their own. This will create an advantage for students who may someday be in a higher level science class. Many high school students graduate without understanding how to use a microscope because they don't know what they are looking for on the slides or how to identify it. This often happens when identifying water microbes and identifying the stages of mitosis. Understanding cells and what microorganisms are is very useful in everyday life. For example, understanding how a blood count works can help students to better understand their health. It will also help prepare them for college level courses.
