  • Kindergarten Book Pouches for Work and Enjoyment

    Funded Dec 28, 2011

Thank you so much for our new book pouches! They help us organize our reading materials so that students can focus on just right books and also allow them the joy of choosing any book that they might like to enjoy regardless of level--a literate reward for the hard work of learning to read.

The students were so excited to have a safe place to keep their independent books. You are responsible for their smiles! Even more importantly, you have helped me instill a love and enjoyment of reading that will last a lifetime. ”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Sanders

  • Leveled Readers to Meet Common Core Standards

    Funded Nov 2, 2011

Thank you all so much for supplying my kindergartners with leveled books. I have attended many trainings that all emphasize the importance of students reading at their individual levels, but given the budget situation, have not been able to provide them. You have made it possible for my students to have access to the tools they need for success. Perhaps even more importantly, you have helped fuel their excitement for reading and books that will last a lifetime.

Your support has truly made a difference in the lives of my students and we all appreciate you! ”

achievedThank you so much for our amazing, engaging nonfiction library! The students are so excited to have titles that relate to topics we are learning about. I wish you could hear them reinforce previous knowledge and use the books to add even more learning to their learning foundations! The illustrations are beautiful and the reading levels perfect for kindergarten.

I have been astounded at the reading progress my students have already acheived this year. They love books and reading-- you have given them the materials they need to advance and excel. You have sparked interest and inspired what I hope will be a lifelong love of learning. We appreciate you!”

  • Kindergartners In Touch

    Funded May 2, 2011

Thank you so much for this wonderful gift of an iPad 2 to our classroom! My students have been so excited to find new and engaging activities each time they use it. So far, their favorite activity has been writing their letters and drawing pictures with different colors at their fingertips. As you can see from the picture, I have wonderful high school volunteers training my new students this summer so that they will be able to get the most out of the new technology in the coming school year. We have been humbled to find that often times the students are more adept at using the iPads and app features than we are! I have also had a wonderful time searching for new apps and put our state flower (one of our social studies standards) as the wall paper. We are all so very appreciative of your generosity!”

  • Our TAG Books Are Loved Too Much!

    Funded Apr 13, 2011

As you can see from the photos, my kindergartners were thrilled with their new books! Thank you so much for replenishing our TAG library or "magic books" as the students like to call them. They love reading the activity books together with their friends and alone for some quiet time. They ask when it will be time to use them throughout the day.

You have created excitement about books and learning among my students. At this point in the year, it is especially exciting to hear them read first and then check to make sure they got it right with the pens! You have made a difference in the live of the children in my classroom and we all appreciate you!”

  • Kindergarten Writers Need Journals

    Funded Apr 13, 2011

Thank you so much for the beautiful new journals! As you can see, my kindergartners started writing as soon as they arrived and love the shiny covers. I wish you could have heard their exclamations of "Look there's a star where we can start writing," and "Look! It's shiny!" One student wrote, "Here I am with my new journal," as his first entry.

You have helped me to make writing an engaging and exciting process as well as assisted with conveying the importance of kid writing to my students. We all so appreciate your generosity!”

Thank you so much for these wonderful literacy activities! My students were thrilled to sort letters in their names, order the alphabet, and talk about letter sounds and shapes with one another. The fun spinner games and centers were also engaging learning experiences that will grow with increasing knowledge throughout the year.

Please know that you have made a difference in the lives of my students and have enriched their very first learning experiences. You have provided hands on, individual and cooperative learning activities and experiences that will become a part of their academic foundations. We appreciate you!”
