  • Owl Pellet Dissection

    Funded Jan 27, 2023

It was an incredible experience to have owl pellets in our classroom. The students and I have never been exposed to owl pellets before. Once they were opened, there was a clear diagram that showed what each of the items were inside of the pellets. Students could really see a clear connection for the food chain. We also learned about the digestion of these animals, their habitats, and adaptations. This truly would not have been possible with out your generosity. I thank you for allowing me to have new educational experiences as well!”

  • Art Display

    Funded Aug 10, 2022

Due to your generosity we were able to make pinch pots and decorate them with acrylic paints. We learned how pottery is something that was made long ago and today across virtually every culture. They turned out beautiful! We also have a whiteboard in our outdoor classroom. I can't tell you how much learning we are able to do out there now! We still have more art supplies to use from your donations! We can't wait to use our canvases. Thank you so much for thinking of us and adding art and learning tools to our lives!”

  • Garden Life

    Funded Feb 1, 2022

Your donations meant so much to me and our students. This year has been a challenging one, so being given the opportunity to learn from the outdoors has been a gift. The students have learned so much about gardening! They even helped put together the composter. Most had never used a nut and bolt before. (Unfortunately, we did not have time to start composting, but our future classes will). I also have enough seeds to last for many future students. As soon as the children were given tools and gloves to garden, their faces lit up. We enjoyed seeing the plants grow and learning from the ones that didn't. All the gifts you have given to our class will be impactful for years. Thank you!”

  • Let's Learn Outdoors

    Funded Mar 17, 2021

I cannot tell you what a difference your resources have provided for us! For years to come , my students and I will be grateful for the stools and amplifier that you donated to us. These tools allow outdoor learning to be possible. Our students go outside everyday to learn. The fresh air and the extra layer of protection that having a outdoor space has allowed our learning to be safer and happier. The colorful stools provide a table for my students to work on. We use the stools for reading, writing, and countless other activities that the surface provides.

Additionally, the amplifier allows me to project my voice. As an educator, I use my voice a lot throughout the day and with the masks it is even harder to use voice loud enough for the kids to hear me. The quality of that amplifier is excellent and many teachers at my school have asked about it and I get to tell them all that it was donated by you. Thank you for your kindness!!!!!”

  • Black Books Matter

    Funded Jan 26, 2021

Your donations came at a time when a kindness was needed the most. Our class really needed new books that represented a diverse group of students. You really came through for us! The students really enjoyed listening to read alouds that honored their heritage and learning about the heritage of others. These books will be part of my teaching library for years to come and I can even share them with my own children at home. As a teacher, it is challenging to get all the resources that I need to elevate the instruction that my students receive. We can't thank you enough for coming through for us!”

  • 3D like a G

    Funded Nov 19, 2019

Your donation has given new educational experiences to our 2019-20 class and it will give immeasurable experiences for future classes. Our students were able to imagine creatures from stories and make them come to life with their 3D pens. The majority of my students had never imagined that they could create a 3D figure right before their eyes. The students were able to learn a computer program called TInkercad. It taught them the fundamentals of designing prototypes and altering geometric shapes. We had hoped to print some of these figures out on the larger 3D printer that you had given us, but the school year resumed online so abruptly. Knowing that we had a 3D printer, gave the process such purpose. My future students will be able to execute these plans and we thank you for providing such a valuable opportunity to my hard working and diverse 2nd graders. This is a challenging time in our world and your kindness will not be forgotten.”

  • Kids! Listen! What's that Sound?

    Funded Mar 3, 2019

I can't truly describe the impact that your donation of headphones has had for our students. I wish you were there the day that the the boxes arrived. There was buzz all around the school for all the students and teachers. I would walk across the yard and students would run up to me thanking me for thinking about them. The first day, every class used the headphones to have a silent dance party. Whenever I would walk by, you could see students joyfully doing movement and mindfulness activities. Now we are in a new school year and teachers are still discovering new ways to integrate speaking, listening, technology, and educational standards. Thank you so much for creating all of these possibilities for our entire school!”

  • The Search For Science

    Funded Dec 31, 2015

It is so amazing when a community of people come together to help children learn. Due to all your generosity my students were equipped with challenging text connected to cross curricular learning. Not only will this class receive enriching text that assists our science learning, but many future classes will as well. We have already read an adventure story about magnetism and will finish the year learning about the food chain. None of this would be possible without your thoughtfulness. You have filled a void in the resources provided to our classroom and we will forever be grateful.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Maslon

  • Lights, Camera, Production!

    Funded Oct 6, 2015

The amount of generosity that you have bestowed on us is overwhelming. Words cannot express our gratitude for the 3 iPads that you have provided to our classroom. We have been able create movies and they have been a valuable tool for us on a weekly basis. The greatest benefit is that the iPads will be valuable tools for many future classes as well. In the creative process of producing movies, the students had to tap into a multitude of other skills that were integrated into cross curriculum. In order to create the movies, the students had to understand plot, write a script, and work together to create their skits. Once the movies were recorded, the 2nd graders had to learn technical skills in order to edit and insert music, sound effects, and transitions. These projects would not have been possible with out you. Thank you for considering our students and so many future generations!”
