  • Comfy Mats

    Funded Aug 15, 2023

Thank you for your generosity in funding this project. We appreciate it so very much. All of the students were able to get a new mat which they use each day for rest time.

They were happy to see that none of the mats have rips or tears in them and they make sure we take care of them so that they can last for the rest of the school year. They are able to get them, put them out and put them back by themselves. I love when they help each other and show their friends how to fold them to put them back.

    Thank you again,”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Stigner

  • In With the New

    Funded Sep 22, 2022

Thank you so very much for your support for the new mats and learning easel center. We are so appreciative of your generous support. I was able to replace the old mats with the nice new ones. The students use the easel center daily either for signing in of the question of the day or for the magnetic letters to create words and play school. They use the dry erase markers and create letters, numbers and shapes on the easel. It is a good interactive learning tool for them and I use it also for teaching and it is visible to all.

Thank you again for your support”

  • Creative Supplies

    Funded Apr 10, 2022

The students and us teachers too are so appreciative of your generous donations and funding our project. We were excited to fill up all the playground balls and be able to use them. The kinetic sand is a favorite in the classroom and now we have plenty to use for the rest of the year. The carpet sweeper works so well and keeps carpet so clean.

The students in this year's class will be able to benefit from the materials we received as well.

Thank you so very much for your support in funding this project!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Stigner

  • Accessible Supplies

    Funded Dec 30, 2021

Thank you so much for your generosity and funding this project. We have had so many changes over the last few years. Materials for the classroom had to be separated and physical distance was needed. These at your seat storage sacks have made it easier to do this as well as promoting independence for the students. Your donation has given us opportunity to have the student's supplies accessible to them at any time. They are motivated to start their day in the mornings, sign in and can get themselves set up for any activity with their materials right there for them to use.

Thank you again for making this possible.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Stigner

  • Let the Learning Begin!

    Funded Oct 16, 2021

Thank you for funding this project. As we introduce each resource to the students, they are excited to use all of them. They are using their math and science skills, working together, creating structures, creating simple machines, problem solving and predicting outcomes. They enjoy reading their new books and sitting on their mats to read them.

I love the independence they have when using the materials. I also am proud to see them helping each other and communicating their thoughts and ideas to their peers as well as their teachers. They all want me to take pictures of of their work!

Thank you again for making this possible and keeping the students engaged and excited about learning. Your generosity is so very much appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

  • Future Writers

    Funded Aug 6, 2021

Thank you so much for your support in funding this project for my students. When they see new materials in the writing center their eyes light up.

They go into the center with many ideas to create notes letters and drawings. They want to give them to people either in their family or their friends. The envelopes and paper make them feel grown up creating mail and they love using them and adding stamps to them.

They also have the write the letter activity boards that help them form the letters and improve their writing skills.

We are now filling up the binders with their work in page protectors for a memory book to be given to their caregivers at the end of the year.

Thank you again for your generosity and help in making learning fun for these students.”

  • Strengthening Our Math and Technology Skills

    Funded Mar 12, 2021

The students were so excited to receive their new tablets. We now can have 2 more students do the wonderful educational activities that are pre-programmed on the tablets. They can go to each program with ease and little help from us teachers.

We will begin using our new ten frames and have the students learn to add and subtract quantities up to 10. They enjoy having their own set so that they can create math problems on their own. They can be used in class as well as be sent home. If we do go remote the students will be ready with their materials.

The students also choose the linking cubes often from the math center. Now that we have more, they can use them to duplicate, create and extend patterns. They also use them to show and compare different lengths and measure things around the room.

Thank you again for making so many learning opportunities available for the Pre-K students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Stigner

  • Positive Beginnings

    Funded Aug 11, 2020

Thank you so much for your generosity. These supplies have made it possible for the students to still engage in their centers using their own supplies and social distancing.

We know how different the schools day looks and how we must conduct the classroom to ensure safety.

All of the supplies are set up in separate bins or baskets for the students to use. We still teach them independence yet they know how to use things and stay safe. As always the books are students' favorites. They are able to look at them independently and we read the books to them a few times a day. The reward is when we display the work on the boards using the construction paper to accent their art and writing. Here they begin to gain confidence to be great readers, artists, mathematicians etc........

Thank you again for your support.”

  • Building Our Motor Skills

    Funded Feb 10, 2020

Thank you so much for the donations which made it possible for us to get new equipment for use in our indoor gross motor room and new blocks for our classroom.

The students were very excited to see the new things in the classroom and we were able to put the hoop together before we left the school and began remote learning.

The blocks were a big hit and immediately they used them to create lots of structures that weren't dangerous when they fell because they were soft!

Your generosity is so very much appreciated and you made it possible for the PreK students to have equipment in a gross motor room that will be used during inclement weather as well as different blocks for them to use. Thank you again.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Stigner

  • Remote Learning at Best!

    Funded May 5, 2020

Thank you so much to my generous families and donors who funded this project so quickly. It came at a time where the future was so unknown.

I was able to bring home some materials from the class but those were quickly used. We needed materials for the Units of Study we teach each month. I was able to get more books, flash cards, some manipulative math materials and a document camera so I could record myself reading the books and doing different literacy and math activities for the students to do along with me. The dry erase board and markers made it possible to teach some live lessons.

I also was able to provide the students with some materials that they could use at home and continue to learn through the summer.

Thank you so much for making the remote learning time so much easier and providing the materials for the students to be able to learn.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Stigner

My students look to go on the computer each day. It is one of their learning centers. The one we have is old and doesn't keep them engaged because we are limited to the programs we have. A tablet with a variety of programs would be exciting and inviting to them. The dramatic play area is the place where they all want to be. We are in need of new dolls which they love to use as they role play. The school has a play area which we use every day. We need the outdoor equipment so they learn to work and play together as a team.
