A large amount of our students come from families that suffer from generational poverty. It is my hope to make strides toward breaking that cycle of poverty. Most higher paying careers and attending college requires knowledge of basic typing skills. I plan to use these supplies to begin to build foundational skills that will move my students towards becoming college and career ready. Most of my students only have computer access while at school and, therefore, love to spend time on the computer. I feel that having these items would provide an opportunity for them to have fun while learning a vital career skill.

About my class
