Stress Relief for Students
Funded Feb 16, 2025I have to say that this is one of the best projects I have ever had funded. The materials I received are being used by all the groups of students I see. The kinetic sand is a huge hit, even with the 5th graders. The younger students love the fidget balls and playing catch with them. Other students just enjoy dumping out the fidget basket and exploring all the choices. The biggest hit it the slime and playdough. Children just don't get enough time to play and talk with each others during the school day. Thank you for supporting our students!”

Settle the Seat Situation
Funded Dec 4, 2024Thank you for your generous donations to this project. I am fortunate enough to teach reading intervention to third through fifth graders. I try to make my room interesting and inviting because having a reading disability is often embarrassing.
I have a variety of seating areas and types of seating for students to sit on. The new chairs are a wonderful addition to the seating arrangement I have set up my classroom. The chairs at my small group table are also sturdy and colorful and I don't have to worry about any arguing over chairs. They are all the same.
Thank you again for supporting my students, classroom and school.”

Funded Aug 7, 2024Thank you for supporting my project. With your help I was able to get a variety of healthy snack choices for my students. I keep a basket of snacks in my classroom for students when they need an extra snack to get them through the day. Being hungry is an awful feeling and prevents students from learning. You would be surprised by how mindful they are. They are not greedy and don't ask for snacks every day. They know they are available and can come and get a snack or two when they need. I love being able to provide a comfort for them. This was made possible with your incredible generosity.”

Funded Jul 23, 2024I want to thank you for supporting the students in Saint Paul and specifically at Como Park Elementary School. My students were so excited about the new games. We try to find time every Friday to play them as a largr group or in small groups. We always appreciate the love and support from outside the education community. Our new favorite game is Tapple. We play it and love trying to push down all of the letters for each topic. We also have been playing Boggle and trying to make long words. Thanks again for the fun games”

Funded Mar 9, 2024I want to thank you for your generosity and support to my classroom. This year we have had a large influx of students who do not speak English. It has been very challenging for them to stay on track with the curriculum. The games you provided do not require any special language skills. It helps them build math fluency and also provides them an opportunity to be themselves. The games can even be played across grade levels as I have played the same game with my 1st and 4th grade students. A simple math game can go a long way in providing some learning and fun. Thank you again!”

Decodable Books for Older Students!
Funded Jan 22, 2024This has been one of my favorite projects so far. The students were so excited to show what they know and read books. Every Friday, they get to choose from an entire shelf of decodable books. The best part is that many of them look like chapter books. This makes the older students feel more confident about reading in front of their friends. Can you imagine reading a picture book when all your friends are reading chapter books? These books were an excellent addition to my classroom library. Thank you for supporting my students.”

Chairs and Shelves for Children!
Funded Oct 17, 2023I have been teaching for over 30 years and still get so excited when a project gets funded. Each time, my room gets closer and closer to being the perfect space for children to learn. This time I was able to get a few more chairs. There are now so many good spaces in my room for reading and even just redirecting. Unfortunately, the shelves I wanted were out of stock. I used the money to replenish my basic supplies such as markers, paper and pencils. I was also able to get a few fun card games for game days. Thanks again so much for your generosity.”

Funded May 10, 2023In the spring of the year, most classroom teachers begin thinking ahead to the next school year. We have so many needs. I was pleased to have a few of those things already at school. The folders will be used for small group reading and small group math. They came in all different colors which keeps things neatly organized. I am looking forward to having more than wobble chair to get out the wigglies as well. The most exciting donation were a set of magna tiles that the kids last year got a chance to play with. Your generosity goes a long way! Thank you.”

Funded Jan 24, 2023First of all, thank you!! I wish you could see how much my students use my comfy spaces to read. I have several groups a day and almost every group utilizes the space in my room. The calmly place themselves in a comfortable position and read. It is so quiet and they students are so focused on their reading and tasks. It is also a nice space for students to take a break when they are feeling overwhelmed or upset about a situation. I think the wobble chair is the favorite and I may have to get another one in my classroom. Thank you again for your continued support!”

Let's Get Rolling!
Funded Nov 14, 2022First of all thank you! This project was a hodge-podge of items I needed to be successful and support the students I see. I am an intervention support teacher and move around the school. The cart makes it easier for me to move from room to room with the materials I needed. I was carrying a bucket before. I also needed a few more activities to bring with me to Kindergarten to keep them engaged. The other item that was funded was the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card. I love TPT and use it so often to find student materials to support reading and math. Thank you again for your support.”
