Kindergarten is a year of growth! Students are learning many new academic and social skills. In my six years of teaching, I have learned that the best way to reach as many students as possible is to use multi-modal learning. I'd like to set my students up for success by getting individual items for them that they can take home for either full e-learning or a hybrid model. I'm asking for things that could be used for a variety of activities. The white boards and thin markers will be used for math class (writing equations, drawing problems and shapes), writing class (letters, word and sentences), and for drawing. The ten frames will be used in math for quick images (subitizing, counting, adding, subtracting, place value). The dice will be used for math (subitizing, counting, adding, subtracting, math games) and literacy (sight words, literacy games). The pencil pouches will be used to keep each students' writing and coloring utensils organized at school or at home. If we're at school, we usually share materials but given the pandemic, I'd like each student to have their own materials and a place to store them. The sit spots will be used to maintain six feet apart when we are sitting in the classroom or outside (as I'll try to have as many lessons outside as possible!).
