  • So Small, Yet Such a Big Importance! PAPER!

    Funded Feb 15, 2020

As for the students, of course they weren't aware of the issue we were having, but the staff was! And when I announced to the staff, that a pallet of paper that I had posted on Jna. 20th, got funded by Feb.14, they were beyond thankful! As you can see, there has been a few projects we were able to create using the paper - Our Math class was able to do a V-day project regarding measuring area, I personally was able to put together a Math progress monitoring binder! Each teacher lounge, which has a copier in it, has been provided paper - Once more is needed, I will be able to supply more - But,it has been such a great relief to know, the paper issue has been fixed! Especially with planning lessons, and activities! They can actually be done, rather than thinking of another activity to do with the students that won't need paper printed !

Again, I will speak for my whole building when I say, we are thankful for the wonderful individuals who found it in their hearts to donate to us! We're a community that has come together during this time, to continue to make the year a successful one! And I cannot thank you ALL enough!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lenhart

  • Special Education Document Camera = The Ability to "View"

    Funded Aug 17, 2019

The regular education teacher, and myself ( special education teacher), utilize the document camera more than we thought we would! We use it everyday, every subject, and it is great! It allows those students who need a visual to have one, and it allows the others to use it as an option! The students are able to come up and write on the worksheet they are working on, and they love seeing their handwriting projected on their Smart board! I'm pretty sure, every student has put their hand underneath it, to see what their hand will look like on the Smart Board! And that's okay, because its exciting to them! And it allows them to do their work, and want to be the "teacher" and project their answers to the other students! But, it has 100% assisted the students who need a visual aide, those who tend to fall behind, and sometimes just need a guide!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lenhart

  • Headphones For Technology Growth Within Our Classroom

    Funded Nov 8, 2019

We received our headphones the day we got back from Christmas Break! Not only were the students excited about the new headphones, so were the other 3rd grade teachers! We have enough headphones for 30 of them to pair up with the 30 working computers we have, and then each teacher gets an extra 5 for their classroom! Today, was the first day, my classroom were allowed to use them! And the students were so excited! Each student got to number their sets, and they each get a pair ! It was such a relaxing time handing out computers and headphones knowing they all work! It allows the students to have more time to complete their activities also! Please know, everyone involved in this project, the students and the teachers are very thankful for the donations that have been given!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lenhart

  • Creativity with Cricut Explore 2

    Funded Aug 17, 2019

As you can see by the pictures I have uploaded, the machine has been used for multiple items - As said in my project information, the machine is stationed in my classroom, where myself and other co-workers have access to it - Not all the pictures I have uploaded are from the projects I created myself. Others have used it for their own reasons, but all relating to classroom/school items.

I will say, the white board picture is within my classroom ! This was a mandatory request given by our principal, - It could have been posted anywhere within the classroom, but I decided to utilize the machine, and create a nice, organized space for the "Theme Board". I have received many compliments on my " Theme Board," and I know I have inspired others to create a similar "Theme Board" for next year!

When I say this, I am not speaking for myself, I am speaking for others within my building - We truly appreciate those individuals who saw the reasoning behind this project! Not only do I love it, but the students do also ! They want to know what the next project is that is being created ! Which is - using the machine to decorate our hallway for Christmas - Polar Express Theme! So, THANK YOU ALL AGAIN”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lenhart

As a teacher, our job is to make our classroom, an environment that they feel comfortable in - An environment that the students are able to walk into and feel they can be themselves - With the help of a Circut, I will be able to provide that to my students in multiple ways- Whether, it be for the classroom (behavioral chart, homework chart, rules etc), or for a project that my students are creating- This amazing piece of technology will allow for my creative students design and develop their own projects and classroom decorations which will help to develop their creative thinking and problem solving skills.
