Do you remember the books you loved as a child? The stories which made you laugh until your belly ached or the tragic passages which moved you to tears? As a classroom teacher, one of the most unique privileges is sharing those texts with a younger generation and reliving those moments. Seeing them immersed in a book and hearing the excitement in their voices when recounting events is truly amazing. Working in a Title I school with a dynamic group of English learners is exciting and helping them to become avid readers is very fulfilling.
