Because of the pandemic, many of my students need explicit instruction on very different levels. When using personalized instruction programs, students are “taught” by the app. Each student is working at their own pace and level. This helps differentiate instruction and target what each student needs. When my students work in IReady or Dreamscape, they are motivated by the sounds as well as being taught. It is very hard for them to pay attention to their own screen when the person next to them is working on their own personalized instruction. If everyone has headphones, they can stay focused and complete their daily lessons much easier.
