    We are reading for fun because of your generosity! Our fifth grade students are learning to read for the pleassure of it, and that was my purpose.

    Time for Kids is appealing to my students and they want to read it. I have seen them open and read instead of other activities and that fills my heart with joy.

    Reading for fun will allow them to become interested in what is going around their neighberhood and around the world. It is expanding their horizons and your generosity has allowed us this luxury.

  • Worksheets for My Students!

    Making copies seems such a simple thing, you just press print and you are done. Something we take for granted is a big deal in a school where over 90% of students qualify for feee or rediuced lunch.

    Having the copier is a luxury for us and we tahnk you for your generosity.

    My students can have their work when they go home, even when they do not have a consubale workbook.

    We use the copier constantly and it allows us to work on activities we would not have been able to in the past.

  • Protecting Our Class From COVID-19

    Funded Nov 13, 2020

    Due to your generosity, we received a Lasko Portable Electric 48" Oscillating Tower Fan with Fresh Air Ionizer, Timer, and Remote Control for Indoor. It makes a significant difference because we now have good ventilation in our classroom. Our school was built in 1992, and the air conditioners have not been changed. Although they are perfectly maintained, they were not designed with an airborne pandemic in mind.

    We also received Germ-X Hand Sanitizer, which we use every day to ensure our hands are clean. Now we must clean our tables every day, and we wash our hands.

    We have used the STEAM book to create fun projects in class. It is incredible how much the children enjoy designing, develop and test their creations.

    Finally, the MAPUCHE Automatic Soap Dispenser is on our sink, so we make sure we wash our hands without touching anything.

    You have made a difference in our daily routines. Our students are safer from COVD 19 because we made these changes in our classroom and have an everyday safer way of keeping germ-free.”

    Your generosity has made a profound impact on the lives of many children. Thank you! We are better prepared when we can include technology in our classes, and you have allowed us to do that.

    Our students come from primarily Hispanic families that arrived in the United States looking for a better future, and you are supporting that dream.

    COVID 19 has made us aware of how disadvantaged our students are. Most of our children do not have computers, many don't have internet access, and some live in areas with no internet service.

    Due to this, our students are at greater risk of failing than more affluent children. That is why your generosity has made a difference in the lives of more than 40 children and their families.”

We are a very curious bunch. Sometimes it is hard to focus on our work and that is why we need privacy folders. The Privacy folders will allow the students to focus on their work. Not many of the students have access to supplies at home, so printing handouts for them to work is a must. That is why we need copy paper. If we don't supply handouts they are unable to complete the work. All that work needs to be kept together and the duo tang folders are practical. Finally we need a pencil sharpener. At home they have only the small kind or none at all, and who likes to write with dull pencils? Not us!
