These STEM materials will help my students by creating opportunities for building and creating. My students will greatly benefit from being given the chance to freely create with no pressure or limitation. Students are in control of their own learning in our start up maker space. Materials such as 3D magnetic builders, gear builders, magna tiles, wooden dowels and shapes will challenge students to build projects that are stable and help them practice real world engineering skills. With these materials, student learning will be truly impacted simply due to the simple fact that they are able to build whatever they choose. The chain reaction set will encourage students to explore if-then reactions and this kit is a great way for students to experiment and learn from their mistakes. These materials will provide students with opportunities that they might not have access to outside the classroom. Students learn in multitudes of ways and our classroom maker space will encourage all students to be courageous and positive in their ability to freely create without judgement from anyone around them. Our maker space will be a safe place to experiment with creating and building while inspiring others around us.
