We Love Reading and Math Games!!

It was so WONDERFUL to start the New Year with gifts from complete strangers. My students were able to learn about gratitude and kindness through the generosity of donors like you! The entire class was so excited to write thank you letters to express their thanks. It has been such a great process to go through with them. They have been beyond grateful and have learned that giving can happen through teamwork and cooperation! Seeing the class interact with each other and learn in fun ways through the math and reading games they received has been a joy to watch.

The math and reading games have helped some of my struggling learners in fun and positive ways. They are able to learn and build confidence. Their favorite has been the Magna Tiles and it has gone with our latest Science Unit of Structures and Functions! The number counting games have also helped my students who were struggling with counting and cardinality.

My class has yet to open all the games we received. It is my plan to continue adding new games as the year progresses. It will keep my students engaged and excited as they work independently and in small groups. Thank you again for making a difference in the lives of our military families at Miller! Their service to our country goes above and beyond and your donations have impacted so many young minds!”
