What's Happening With the Weather?
Funded Oct 21, 2016My students were so thrilled to see the packages come in the mail. They helped me open the boxes and each one was like a new toy. They were excited to see the weather stations and maps. They began asking questions almost immediately.
The materials you have provided will allow my students to track weather conditions right at our school and see how it will be affecting them.
This project helped my classroom so much. Without your help, I would not be able to do this. This allows my students to be little weather-people. I am hoping to open many doors for my students through your generosity.”

Let's Grow Together!
Funded Oct 20, 2015My students were so thrilled to see the packages come in the mail. They helped me open the boxes and each one was like a new toy. They were excited to see the seeds and pots. They began asking questions almost immediately.
The materials you have provided will allow my students to see how plants grow in a whole new way. They will be able to plant, watch, and water their plants. They will get to grow a plant and compare their growth to each other.
This project helped my classroom so much. Without your help, I would not be able to do this. This allows my students to see a new life growing from a seed and it gives them a chance to take care of a living thing. I am hoping to open many doors for my students through your generosity.”

Growing into Success!
Funded Oct 9, 2014Thank you so much for providing this opportunity for my students. They were so excited to know that I received the grant even before they knew what it was for. Once I explained to the students what was going to happen, they were ecstatic. They cannot wait until the spring when we can start growing the plants. The students are already starting to investigate on their own what will be best for their sunflowers.

Measuring Liquids Is Not Easy, Especially With No Beakers
Funded Oct 28, 2010Thank you so much for giving my students and I the opportunity to explore liquids. The students were so excited opening the boxes when they were brought into class. It was nice to have the chance to teach how to properly use and store the different beakers and graduated cylinders. Many of the students had never even used them before!
In one experiment, the students created density columns. It was so incredible to see them taking such care of the materials. They made sure that when they dropped a piece of material into the liquids, the graduated cylinder was not going to move or fall. Your generosity made this possible and I thank you for showing my students that there are still people who care about their education.”

Be An Organ Donor
Funded Oct 27, 2009Thank you so much for everything that you have helped me do for my students. With your generosity, my students were able to see what was happening inside the human body. They had such a wonderful time getting the packages and opening them. I could tell that they felt an ownership over the new materials.
The students have really gotten to like the skeleton model. They have named him Toby and he has become a class mascot of sorts. The lung models have been a great help in seeing exactly what is inside the students' bodies.
Overall, the materials have been a great benefit to my students' learning. It has helped to see things they never thought they could see. Thank you so much.”

Mr. Hay
