  • Craft Materials for PK

    Funded Apr 3, 2023

My students had so much fun using the craft materials you purchased for us. We did several art projects including a Mother's Day gift using cardstock, paint and color paper with each student picture blowing a kiss to their moms. My students were excited to create this gift for their mothers and I got many compliments from their mothers about this keepsake. I am sure this project is something that they will keep for many years. Another project we did with paint was coloring the letter of the week using qtips. This helped my students with fine motor skills while having fun.

The Giant Magnetic letters helped us to have different activities. The one in the picture was about matching Upper case and lower case letters. Each student got a letter and had to match his/her letter with the lower or upper case letter. Once they find their partner, students had to say the name of the letter, sound its make and as many words beginning with that letter as they could. My students really enjoyed this activity and asked to played it several times. Also, I posted the magnetic letter of the week on the board so students could see it and touch it during the week.”

  • Writing and Tracing Center

    Funded Nov 15, 2021

My students were really excited to have a personal binder for them and love the idea of having a shelf to keep their binders organized. The binder shelf is perfect to keep my students' binders in my Tracing/writing workstation. I am using the binders to provide each student with tracing activities for each letter of the alphabet. Students are developing their fine motor skills, practicing the letters we have studied in class and having fun at the same time. My students were really excited to have a personal binder for them, I will add new activities in the future on each binder for each student.”

  • PK Students Getting Organized

    Funded Nov 15, 2021

I would like to thank you for your generosity. My classroom looks more organized; each student has his/her own cubby with their name and picture. There, they have their Homework folder, their study folder and their agenda. When they arrive in the morning part of their morning routine is to place their folders and agenda in their cubby. It makes it easier for them and for me to find the folders/agendas that I need during the day instead of looking in a single basket to find an specific item. The cubbies also help my students getting ready for dismissal to be smoother. I call each student to go and find their stuff and they do it quicker.

We will continue to use these materials for a long time, not just this school year but the following years.”

  • Interactive Activities for Pre K

    Funded Apr 20, 2021

All my interactive Activities that I got from TpT are wonderful. My students enjoy dancing, doing exercise while developing their Math and Language skills. They really like doing exercises while saying and identifying colors and shapes. Also, they like the interactive word wall in Spanish that helps them not just with the letter name and letter sound but with increasing their vocabulary. Also, they like dragging the pictures to match letter and picture with the same beginning sound. I have some students who are shy and at the beginning didn't want to participate; now with these interactive activities, they are participating, learning and having fun at the same time. All my students enjoy these materials and I am really thankful for you donation. I will keep using these activities during the school year.”

  • Keep PreK Students' Materials Organized

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

My district started as full virtual and then we transition to a hybrid (face to face and virtual instruction). Parents decided how they wanted to have their kids at school (virtual or face to face). I was able to provide my face to face students with their individual supply caddy and a Storage bin. When materials arrived, students and I were excited to see all the colorful and nice materials you sent us. Immediately, I started to labeling each caddy and bin for them to keep their materials handy.

I would like to thank you for your generosity. My classroom looks more organized; materials are ready and available for my students. Each student has a supply caddy where they find their markers, pencils, erasers, name cards, ABC cards. Also, each student has a storage bin to keep their books, notebooks, workbooks and headphones. It is awesome since due to the pandemic, students are not supposed to share materials and they are expected to have their individual materials.

It is nice for my students to have a classroom more organized and for them to get the materials they need and have them ready for each day. These materials have been very helpful, they save me time and my students' desk/table look well organized.

We will continue to use these materials for a long time. Every time a new student transition from virtual to face to face, I have their caddy and storage bin ready for him/her to use with all the materials that they need in my class.”

  • Pre K Online Meeting Using Manipulatives

    Funded May 20, 2020

My district started as full virtual and then we transition to a hybrid (face to face and virtual instruction). Parents decided how they wanted to have their kids at school (virtual or face to face). My students come from low income families and many of them don't have the technology or manipulatives at home to practice the skills they need for pre kindergarten.

Thanks to your generosity I was able to make my virtual classes more fun. I was able to use the manipulatives to do different activities and model for them some of the topics we were learning in class. When we transition to the hybrid model, I was able to provide my face to face students with their own bag of manipulatives to practice what we have been learned in class.

My students were excited to explore and use the manipulatives that you bought for us. Thank you for being part of my students' learning experience and for making it fun.

We will continue to use this materials for a long time to develop different Math and Language skills.”

  • iPads for PreK Students during Online Teaching

    Funded May 7, 2020

My district started as full virtual and then we transition to a hybrid (face to face and virtual instruction). Parents decided how they wanted to have their kids at school (virtual or face to face). My students come from low income families and many of them don't have the technology at home to attend the virtual classes. Many students struggled to connect to our meetings and do their school work or their learning applications. Some students have multiple siblings and had to share the only device they had making it difficult for them to attend our meetings and keep up with their school work.

Thanks to your generosity my students were able to connect to our virtual classes and use the learning applications. They were excited about having a device and use the headphones to be able to do their learning applications and attend my virtual classes. My students feel they can keep up with their work and are excited to be able to do the same activities as the others' students who have their own devices. I assure you that they had a smile in their faces when I showed them the new devices they were going to be able to use for our class. The best part is that they won't miss a class anymore, now they have the device they need to attend our classes and continue with their learning process.

My students will keep using this Ipads and headphones during our hybrid classes and they won't miss anymore virtual classes. They will be able to use our learning applications and learn the skills they need for a successful year using technology thanks to you.”

  • Exploring, Discovering and Enjoying Science in Pre K

    Funded Sep 15, 2009

I would like to thank you for giving to my project, it has been a good opportunity for my students to practice and reinforce concepts that I have taught in class such as magnets, use of magnifiers, five senses and seasons. Since Science is everywhere and it is a daily life activity, these materials are appropriate to be aligned to the Pre K objectives.

My students enjoy going to the Science Center and working with all the materials you gave us. When I asked them about the materials you sent us, they started talking about each material and why each one of them was their favorite.

It is nice to know that there are people like you who care about education and help students like mine to succeed in their educational lives. I am sure you made a positive impact on my students lives and Thank you is more than words when you see their little faces working with the materials and having fun.”

  • Pre K: The Magic of Reading and Writing

    Funded Apr 16, 2009

    Thank you for your generosity.

My students have enjoyed these materials as much as possible giving them the opportunity to practice their reading and writing skills. I am sure my students are ready to move to Kindergarten and the teachers will find all the skills they will be looking for. I love reading and writing and I try to make it easier and fun for my students so they love it too. Thank you for helping me make my classroom a place with a variety of materials that my students love to work with and have age appropriate materials. My classroom is a different place from the one it was the first day of school 4 years ago where I found old and broken materials. I am glad you care about my students and helped me to make my classroom a different place where everybody wants to be.

    Thank You,

    Mrs T.”
