  • Help Us Build Our Social Emotional Learning!

    Funded Apr 6, 2023

Thanks for giving my students the opportunity to have resources that they can use to express themselves. They were excited to see the pastels and papers because they love to draw things. Since we are coming close to the end of the school year they will be creating a scrapbook using the materials and they will be drawing pictures to express themselves and share their ideas about the events of this school year. I can't wait to see all their fantastic work, but the best part to me is that they will close off the year completing a fun activity after working so hard. Thanks for being a part of this.”

  • Give Us the Tools, We'll Get the Job Done!

    Funded Apr 6, 2023

I want to thank you so much for your donations. My students were excited to finally have a whiteboard to use in small groups. Now two of them can be writing on the board at the same time. The fact that there were markers for the board and wipes to clean it is a thrill for them. Also, they can now organize their papers in the folders and use the pushpins to hang up their work. It's nice when you have all your resources, because no the job can be done without the necessary resources/ Thanks to you.”

  • Math and Science Combo: Resources and Rewards!

    Funded Oct 2, 2022

When the packages arrived my students were jumping with joy. They were ready to dive in the treats and use the markers and colored pencils. Every box opened brought a radiant expression to each of their faces. Their dry erase markers were running out so when they saw the new markers they were very happy.

I can now replenish used up notebooks and colored pencils that were running low. I let them have a treat right away and explained that we would use the rest of the items as we go along.

Thanks for thinking of my kids and putting smiles to their faces. God bless!!!”

  • Classroom Basics Help Start The New Year!

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

Thanks for your support! My students and I appreciate your thoughtfulness. They have dry erase markers to use with their dry erase boards and wipes to clean the boards. They had sketched a drawing of their face mask for an art project and were able to alter it when necessary by using the wipes which was something they enjoyed. Also, they used the index cards to make flash cards and to solve quick math computation problems and the journals to write assignments during math and science classes.

When the boxes came they knew already that they would contain something special. I let them open it and I could see the joy on their faces when they saw the materials. I am going to continue developing more hands on project and activities so that my students will be exposed to using a variety of different resources and materials which I know will be a thrill for them. Thanks again for your generosity.”

  • Snack Attack!!

    Funded Dec 17, 2021

Thank you so much for donating to my project. Because of your donation, my students are smiling and more eager to do their work. They look forward to the snacks as a reward or even a motivational gesture.

When I opened the boxes and was ready to pass out the first snack, their eyes opened really big. Then, they were sitting up straight so that I could acknowledge them. It was hilarious!!! From there on, I can already see improvement in their behavior, work attitude and and self-esteem. I really appreciate the fact that you helped to make this happen. Thanks!! God bless.”

Each item plays an important part in the creation of the final product. The main focus of the project is to enlighten my students' minds of the different job aspects and organizations that help to build a community. The poster boards will be the main material used in this project because it will be used to create the items in the community. The glue and masking tape will help to hold the items together. Other items, like trees and popsicle sticks, are needed for the decorations to bring life to the project. The students will use the composition books to record researched information. They will use the headphones on the computer as they complete their research, which will help them focus better. The copier will be used to print reports, and these reports will be placed with other items in the folder. All the materials will come together to build this community, which will be a teaching tool to open my students' minds and awareness of the different types of businesses in a community. This, in turn, will give them that initial taste of the transition from students to leaders in a community of various businesses.
