Thanks to your donation, my students now have a space they can use to work independently and concentrate during classwork, testing, or during literacy centers. Your donation has also helped me create my own space to assess students one-on-one without having to "take over" their own tables/space. I have also been able to use it as an incentive for students who have been behaving good. They are excited to sit in the "Teacher Desk."

Younger students are always very vigilant of their surroundings and routines. The first day my students noticed the new desk, I remember they were all shocked. I remember hearing "Wow", "how pretty". Not only were my current students surprised but also former students from last year who visit me on occasions also noticed the new desk.

My next steps in exposing and broadening my students horizon is to plan and fundraiser for field trips. My students come from low income families who due to the financial problems are unable to explore museums, aquariums, places, etc. As this school year is half way through, my next steps are to fundraiser and help them explore through field trips.
