Our school is in the process of creating a Sensory Room. A sensory room will give my students a place to, calm down, have sensory needs met, and will provide a place to try new things, such as, textures, smells, jumping, walking on squishy stepping stones, and body socks to name a few. Children on the Spectrum struggle with sensory intergration, a sensory room filled with sensory items helps students to reach a higher level of calmness. The Steam Roller would be a great addition to our sensory room. Children on the Spectrum benefit from the counter pressure they feel as they slide through the roller.
