My students grasp concepts and skills faster when using hands on materials. Hearing themselves read will greatly improve their self-confidence. The whisper phones will also give them the chance to work on phonics skills, which is a building block to reading fluently. The whisper phones will provide great reinforcement of phonics and reading skills. Getting them excited about reading is simple. Keeping them engaged can be a challenge. My students like to move and use their hands. These whisper phones will help keep them engaged. This project will also help the older learning support students in our school. The Learning Support teachers work together as a team, and often share supplies.
