Thank you for your generous donations.

My students' school days are going to be more exciting and successful, since we will have all the materials from my project available. My students and I appreciate your kindness and we are grateful for bringing my project to life.

  • Children Read

    Funded Jan 1, 2023

It was so exciting for my students to receive and open the boxes of new Literacy Activities. They were added to our Literacy Stations and we used them daily. My students were practicing their reading skills during large group instructions as well as guided reading groups. The new activities included much-needed tools for small group interventions to help add interest and excitement to our reading lessons.

Children loved the Snap Words Phonics Sets and the Alphabet Learning Locks as they built fluency while engaging willingly.

The Rhyme Sorting Houses were also the favorites for my more advanced kindergartens. These materials had so many possibilities and enhanced the effectiveness of my literacy Instructions.

Thank you for your generosity and for helping me to provide the best educational opportunities for our scholars”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ninua

  • Curious Kinder

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

We received the materials funded by you and it is wonderful to see how my students literacy skills have improved by using them every day. I have included those much-needed tools for small group interventions to help add interest and excitement to our reading lessons.

Touch Read Phonics are helping my students identify each sound in words.

This has helped building fluency. As do the Snap Words Phonics Sets. The Alphabet Learning Locks are their favorites and has helped my struggling students.

Thank you for your generous donations. You made the learning experiences fun and engaging.”

  • Comfortable Classroom Rug

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Our new classroom rug has produced a comfortable place for us, teachers, and young students to expand their learning space onto the floor.

It promotes positive behavior, creates a warm and friendly environment, and gives kids an easy-to-understand place to go when they gather in a circle.

When sitting in several curved rows on the rug right in front of me, my students are close enough to note details in illustrations or photos, actively respond to questions, and chime in with reading a book or poem.

When sitting in a horseshoe pattern, we are using the interior area of the rug to spread out materials such as math manipulatives, science models, or historical artifacts. Sitting in a circle also creates a sense of community and increases my students' interest in listening and sharing their ideas.”

  • Creative and Crafty

    Funded Jul 5, 2022

The new school year has just started and we received the materials through your generous donations that filled my classroom. The paper rolls cover the bulletin boards around the room and in the hallway, so the student work can be displayed to be seen by their friends, parents, and teachers.

The paints, arts, and crafts materials help students to engage in learning by providing opportunities to be creative. Math games are also one of their favorite activities to practice the skills learned.

We appreciate your generosity, and we hope for your continued support.”

  • Stay Safe and Keep Learning

    Funded Dec 30, 2021

We were so delighted to see the boxes in our classroom. The children helped me to unpack all the colorful bins and caddies and we organized the pencils, markers, erasers, crayons, and scissors at their desks so nicely, and easily accessible.

The color-coded bins and trays are now placed around the classroom with labels and materials that make reading, writing, and math lessons run smoothly. The craft supply center and glue sticks are used during hands-on projects and mini books.

We are grateful for all the help we get from our donors and we appreciate their generosity.

Thank you Donor's Choose team for bringing my project to life.”

  • Active Learning

    Funded Apr 26, 2021

We received the learning materials and it was amazing to see the joy and excitement that we all experienced. Opening each package was threeling for my students. The literacy games included phonics and digraphs, sight words, and writing super sentences.

I started including all the wonderful learning games in everyday lessons and we saw the immediate results. The students were engaged and excited to practice the most important skills while playing and having fun.

Math games were so interesting to learn. Kids loved those. Healthy competition and the strong desire to succeed were developing among kids and helped them to practice and achieve their math goals.

We thank you for this opportunity. The project "Active Learning" made an impact on my students' overall performances.”

  • Headphones On! Set! Learn!

    Funded May 21, 2020

Thank you so much for your support and for believing in our classroom! The students and their parents were so happy when they received the headphones. It became such a great tool during distance learning. Many of my students live in large households, and the headphones helped them to focus better and engage in learning remotely. Their participation during live lessons and during Google Meets improved. The students loved using their headphones when listening to the stories and during the assignments that were reading the steps and directions to them.

Teachers worldwide had to overcome many challenges when the schools were closed unexpectedly. Teaching our youngsters remotely wasn't easy. Donors Choose made it possible for me to do my job effectively. Thank you for your contribution and for making the world a better place for us!”

  • Learning by Doing

    Funded Oct 24, 2019

We have received and utilized the materials that we secured through Donor's Choose.

Children were so excited to open the boxes and see the new games, puzzles, paints, markers, and other classroom supplies.

Having the Phonics Games, word puzzles and other hands-on manipulatives, I was able to provide my students with opportunities to develop their language skills and practice reading and writing. Having the art materials at hand, my students were able to put their thoughts in drawings, tell their stories and create beautiful things.

    Thank You,”

  • New School Year, New Beginning, New Dreams to Become True.

    Funded Sep 11, 2018

It was a joy to see the excitement my students expressed when we received and opened the boxes, filled with beautiful school supplies and games. Since then we have been implementing and using the materials and we have enjoyed seeing the youngsters learning and improving their academic skills. The Instant Learning Center is a wonderful tool to reinforce building three- sound words, spelling and writing and my students have shown plenty of improvements in their reading and writing. Personal Rekenreks are helping us to practice Math skills, counting, adding and subtracting. Foam dice are handy when the students play group games and learning how to share and wait for a turn. Overall, the supplies that we have received, have helped us every day and my students and I are so very appreciative of your support for education and creative, hands-on techniques for learning.

    Thank you again!”

Some children need more movement than others. And for some kids, being in motion is helping them to focus, listen and maintain attention. Teachers of the elementary grades have been noticing that when sitting on a ball chair and maintaining a balance, the child is able to direct his/her natural kinesthetic energy and need for movement in a positive way. Balancing ball chairs have become absolute favorites in the classroom as it promotes children’s listening skills and helps them to focus and maintain attention. Utilizing these sensory items in my classroom will help my students balance their sensory system and will enhance their motivation to learn.
