  • Creative Calm: Art Supplies and Games for Mental Wellness

    Funded Oct 15, 2024

Thank you so much for your support in helping get our students tools and supplies they can use to relax and destress. These supplies will go a long way in helping students improve their mental health and clear their mind so they are ready to learn. Your support is truly appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Amanda

  • Supplies for Success

    Funded Oct 24, 2019

Thank you so much for your support and helping fund this project. Your donation will give my students the necessary supplies they need to be healthy and successful in class. The tissues and sanitizer couldn't have come at a better time as flu season is just around the corner. All the class supplies will help us study as the year continues.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Amanda

  • Supplies for Success

    Funded Aug 1, 2018

Thank you so much for your support in making this happen. This will lessen the financial burden of back to school time and make sure all students are able to start the year off with the supplies they need. They will be able to focus on learning instead of borrowing or searching supplies and I cannot thank you enough.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Amanda

  • Supplies for Success

    Funded Aug 6, 2018

Thank you so much for your generous donation. I can't wait to tell them that all of their school supplies are set for this year! Your support will help purchase binders and folders for students so they can keep track of papers and work on much needed organization skills.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Amanda

All of my students are English Language Learners. Some of them have been in the US for a few days, some of them for a few years, and all of them are working hard on becoming proficient in English and math. Every day we work on developing their language skills so they can participate in academic discussions, think critically about the content and world around them, and meet their goals of academic excellence. They face seemingly insurmountable odds and do so with grace. They are students in an urban school that is among the lowest peforming schools in the state (we are a Level 4 turnaroud school), where over 80% of students are 'high needs' and 61% are 'economically disadvantaged.' Still, they are present every day, ready and willing to learn.
