Apple Pencil + Math = Distance Learning Fun
Funded Jun 26, 2020Thank you so much for much for your support in donating to my project. I am in love with the Apple Pencil so much as a teacher! I use the Apple Pencil in conjunction with my teacher iPad to enhance my lessons. As a math teacher, it is crucial for students to see how things on the screen can be manipulated. I have already seen it increase student participation and focus during lessons. I particularly love how the Apple Pencil allows me to be so precise and accurate when I use it to write on the iPad!

Funded Jun 12, 2020Thank you. It's hard to express how grateful I am to each and every one of you to make this project come to life. Your generosity has provided me with a crucial piece of equipment that I use daily in my instruction with students during this time of virtual learning. Through your support in this project, I have been able to provide my students with opportunities for higher engagement and connections to the material. This iPad has allowed me to improve my remote and hybrid teaching for my students. I have been able to use this iPad during our live zoom meetings both as a document camera and a regular camera. When I use the iPad as a document camera, students are able to see what I am doing with my hands on the screen while also seeing my face for instructional purposes. It has been a live saver during this unforeseen year!
You have provided all of these opportunities to enrich my students education with this simple device. None of this would have happened if it was not for your support in this project and giving me the opportunity to be creative in my teaching with the use of technology!

Funded Nov 23, 2020Thank you very much for donating the much-needed whiteboard. This new whiteboard has worked beautifully! I am so happy to have this resource to blend and model for my students. Distance learning is hard, but having this resource will make it a lot more like being in a classroom for the students online. It is easy to roll around from class to class for all my students to benefit from.

Funded Feb 17, 2019Our class cannot express to you our gratitude for all of your help in funding our printer project!! It's crazy to me how much a printer can impact a student's learning. I am utilizing the paper and ink EVERY SINGLE DAY! Being able to print out student work and also being able to differentiate tasks by printing out our class notes is so very important to meeting all our students needs. Because of this differentiation, my students are each learning at their own individualize pace with material that is appropriate for them. I have also been able to print language stems that my English Language Learners have been using daily. Out of all my students, my English Language Learners are the most excited about the printer because they use visuals to help them learn math concepts because a picture can explain more and help them make connections to the English Language.
I also take photos of the charts that hang in my room and I shrink them on word documents to be printed them, so that every chart we have in our classroom becomes available to my students in their math binders. The students always refer to their charts and some say they are so happy to have this information available at their finger tips!
Thank you again for helping me with this project! I'm so grateful there are people who are willing to support my project. These efforts will enable me to create an environment where meaningful learning can and will always take place.”

Funded Feb 27, 2019Words cannot express our appreciation. The Nugget has been such a great addition to our flexible seating options. It has been a big hit and fits right into my philosophy that we need to be a community of learners. Throughout the day there isn't a moment when you can't find a student on the Nugget. The Nugget gives students a comfortable choice for their learning. They use it to learn, group projects, work on math problem...you name it.
The excitement from the students when the box arrived was contagious. They couldn't fathom what a Nugget fit was. They were so excited to unbox the Nugget and see what it is all about. One of the best parts of the Nugget is that many of them are able to use it at once. The excitement hasn't worn off. They are constantly asking if they can have a turn on the Nugget and they love using it.
The Nugget has had a positive impact in our classroom in giving students choice. It has given students the choice to have comfort and be in charge of their learning needs. This addition to our room has made a great impact on all of us in building that sense of community! We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us achieve this goal!”

Unlock the Secrets of Math Fluency!
Funded Oct 30, 2018Thank you for your generous donation and for helping to make our classroom come alive with learning! The ETA kit has been SO helpful for us! When the box arrived, the students were filled with excitement and anticipation. They just couldn't wait to see what materials were in the box. When we opened the box, the kiddos shrieked with excitement! Inside the box, were Number Strings, Colored Counters, Cuisenaire Rods, Fraction Circles with Rings, Number Line, and a Ratio Table.
The students are enjoying having the hands-on materials and they are very handy for small group instruction as well. Our math class is so much more engaging now thanks to you! My students are learning new strategies and building their confidence for problem solving. It's really exciting for students to really take ownership of their learning. They are gaining a much greater understanding of numbers and the relationships between operations as well. Students really look forward to our number string of the day. They like to predict what the next problem will be, which shows me they are really thinking about number relationships. I have found that my students enjoy math more, which is HUGE for this math teacher.
It is because of people like you that I am able to provide my kiddos with learning experiences that are hands on. In closing, you are a true champion of public education. Thank you for going above and beyond and supporting me and my classroom. Thanks for helping! I am grateful for your support.”

Funded Aug 23, 2018Your donation has significantly improved our classroom organization. Students use the book bins to store their math binder, notebooks, pencil boxes and science book. They allow us to continue our flexible seating with minimal clutter since all of our materials are in one container, that can move easily around the room with us.
These book bins have taught the students responsibility and organizational skills. We will continue using the book boxes the entire year to store our materials and years to come! Thank you again for your kind donation, we appreciate it so very much!”
