During the COVID-19 pandemic, my students have spent more time at home than ever before. Remote learning and quarantines have skewed their view of what the home is supposed to be. Right now, for my students, staying at home is a form of prison. As an Interior Design teacher, this is very disheartening. I want students to view their homes as a refuge from life's troubles and as a place where they look forward to going. With these books and this bookshelf, my students will be able to have an inspirational space in my classroom where they can reframe their view of the home and think about it once again as a safe and enjoyable place to be again.
