Where in the World?
Funded Feb 25, 2011First, I would like to thank all of you for supporting this project. Unfortunately, in the district that I teach in Social Studies isn't top priority. But I think otherwise! The district actually looked at cutting all Social Studies programs. I feel that it is important for the students to know about the world and where they live.
With the materials that were purchased my students will be able to learn about their country and the world around them. We already started using the maps and globe. They are very intrigued with the new materials. These materials will give them the opportunity to explore the world.
Thank you again for all your support. My students and I are truly appreciative of everything you have done to support this project.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Daddona
Inspiring Readers Need Your Help
Funded Dec 31, 2010I want to start off by saying thank you to all the people who supported this project. Your generosity is greatly appreciate. With the money that was donated, my classroom was able to build a better classroom library.
The students were grateful to have a new carpet for the library. Now they don't have to read on the cold floor. The books that were purchased were also a big success. My students have a love for reading and with your help they are able to fulfill this love.
Once again, thank you so much for your help funding this project. My students and I are very grateful!”

Math Minded 5th Graders Need Materials
Funded Dec 6, 2010Thank you for your support and your donations. Working in a high poverty school district is a challenge, but these students deserve the same chance to succeed as everyone else. Through your help I am now able to reach out to my students in need.
Everyday I try to implement guided math. Guided math is where I work with small groups on their individual level. It might be to accelerate the students, to enrich them, or to reteach what has been taught. In most cases guided math is to help those struggling students. Up until now I was having a hard time with guided math. I didn't have the materials for these students. The majority of my students are very visual hands-on learners.
With the materials that were purchased my students are now starting to understand the concepts being taught. It is an amazing feeling to see how much these students have accomplished with what little they have! Once again, my students and I thank you.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Daddona
Books Are a Blast
Funded Nov 20, 2009I want to take the time and thank all of you for donating money to help buy books for my classroom library. Without your help and support my classroom library would still be bare. It is people like you that help the young children become better people and readers.
The books that were bought are a big hit in my classroom. Every student has a book in their desks that they read during independent reading. It is very important to support reading. The books that were bought are very educational and my students love them! They enjoy learning about history and different places around the world.
Once again, I want to thank all of you for your support. Because of you my students love reading and now they have the resources they need to become independent readers. Thank you so much! You truly touched my kids lives and mine! ”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Daddona
