Math Minds Seek Manipulatives
Funded Apr 7, 2022Thank you so much for your support and generosity. As I opened the boxes that were delivered my students were so excited. It was perfect timing as we are reviewing for a test. We quickly opened the cash register and students began checking their work as they added and subtracted decimals. Nothing like relating the lesson to real life! A group of students began building 3D shapes with the Magna-Tiles. The student enagagement while students began to "play" with the materials is 100%.
Again thank you so much for your donations that made this project possible. We can't wait to open the other items and begin to explore other math concepts! You have changed our classroom.”

Mrs. Daddona

Funded Dec 30, 2021First of all let me start off by saying thank you very much! As I opened the boxes and started to reveal the items that we founded through this project the students became filled with joy. They couldn't wait to sit down and use the pop-its during guided math. The first time we used the multiplication pop-its to help solve basic facts the students kept begging for more problems. They were "playing" and learning at the same time.
Then I began to add bead stress balls and the mini pop-its to our calm down / focus area. Students were ready to dive right in and use them to help stay focused and less stressed.
These items brought a smile to their faces and made learning so”

Funded Dec 17, 2015Reading is an important part of a child's life. Unfortunately, many of my students need a little extra push learning how to read and the fundamentals of literacy. Your donations will help them reach their goals of becoming better readers. Providing my students with a listening station will allow them to work on their fluency and comprehension. Plus allow them to listen to some of their favorite books on CD.
As I was unpacking the boxes the boys and girls were very excited to see new items being brought into the classroom. "Yes! We can listen to books during guided reading," one student shouted. The students are now excited to read along with the CD. They look forward to participating in guided reading everyday. They are motivated to become better readers.
The impact of this new technology in the classroom will help all students. However, the students who are struggling the most will see the greatest improvements in reading. We can't thank you enough for your generosity. Literacy opens doors to great things!”

Mrs. Daddona
Math Maniacs Need Materials
Funded Jan 24, 2013This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom. The math materials that you donated have helped my students every single day. We've used them to learn new math concepts, guided math stations, and to take a hands-on approach to learning.
Our school is currenly facing a budget shortfall, so without your help, my students would never have had these math manipulatives.
Without donors like you, thousands of classrooms in the United States would go without. We appreciate your kindness and generousity.”

Mrs. Daddona
Literacy Lights The Way
Funded Dec 31, 2012Thank you so much for helping fund "Literacy Lights the Way". Now my classroom library is filled with new books. My students were ecstatic when I showed them the books on CD, magnetic words, and the reading fluency box. For once they were anxious to participate in guided reading!
Our district is currently facing a budget shortfall, so without your help, my students would never have had these vital resources. Resources that will be used to help students become better readers and for some learn English.
Without donors like you many students would go with out. Thank you for your support!”

Social Studies Scholars
Funded Mar 19, 2012Words cannot express how thankful I am for the social studies materials that were purchased. Thanks to all of you my students can now learn how our country was created and explore the different parts of the United States.
These students are so eager to create projects and learn more. I didn't know what to do when I didn't have the right materials to help answer their questions. I turned to Donors Choose and they pulled through again! Now I can set up two different learning centers and the students can learn about explores and the land in which they live.
Once again, thank you so much for your support and kindness. It means more to us then you will ever know.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Daddona
Sharp Students Need Supplies
Funded Jan 5, 2012I want to start off by thanking each and everyone of you for helping make this project possible. My students are faced with many challenges, but each one is determined to make something of their life.
This year I have a group of highly intelligent students, but didn't have the materials to fully support them. Now my students are able to excel in math, reading, and writing. Before receiving the materials some of my students struggled with basic multiplication facts, but now they are motivated to win the 24 Challenge we are having in our classroom. Also, my students are able to learn writing skills using hands-on activities.
All of you have no idea how much you helped my classroom and the smiles you brought to my students' faces. We thank you once again for your kindness and generosity.”

Mrs. Daddona
Readers Need Resources
Funded Dec 31, 2011Every chance my students get throughout the day they grab a book and head to the classroom library. The sit down on a comfy bean bag chair and open a brand new chapter book and start to read. This is an amazing sight to see.
Thank you to all of you for helping make my students better reader and providing them with the resources they need. For those students in my classroom who are book worms they enjoy reading the new books purchased. For those students who struggle to read, they are now able to sit down with the Leap Frog Tag system and have help reading and spelling. This is such a wonderful tool, since I can't be with all my students all the time.
Thank you again for making our dream come true!”

Funded Nov 17, 2011As I opened the two big boxes that arrived to my classroom the room filled with excited expressions. As I started to pull the cd player, paper cutter, and the playground equipment out of the boxes the students' faces filled with smiles. Thanks to all of you, my students can now participate in specials everyday.
The start of the year was rough for my students. For the first time in their school career the students in Allentown did not have library, music, art, and gym on a daily basis. Unfortunately, this has a negative impact on the students' school. I did my best to incorporate the arts into the curriculum, but it was difficult without the supplies.
Once again, I want to thank all of you for your donations. You had a major impact on my students.”

Science Whizzes in Training
Funded May 10, 2011I want to start off by telling you thank you so much for your generous donations. It means a lot to my students and I. I believe Science is an important aspect to a well rounded education.
In the district that I work in there isn't a big emphasis on teaching Science because it isn't a state tested subject. It is a shame that we out so much emphasis on teaching to the test. The school I work in is very high poverty. So to even have Science materials is far fetched. When I opened the package in front of my students you should of seen their faces. They were so happy to finally have the materials to experiment.
I thank you once again for helping fund this project. You truly changed my students' lives. Thank you again!”

Mrs. Daddona
