Each of my classes journals every day. Sometimes students struggle to bring their notebooks to class and sometimes when they run out of paper and supplies, they don't have easy access to more supplies. In addition to basic school supplies, I almost always have multiple requests for bandaids and lotion each week. Using the supplies in this project request, my goal is to create a more safe, comfortable classroom and a better system for maintaining and keeping students' journals. "I forgot my notebook" should never stand in the way of writing and learning. While we do not have classroom computers, we are able to borrow computer carts when we need to. Having a printer in the classroom is a luxury for which we are grateful. However, replacing the toner cartridge is extremely expensive. I've added a cartridge to this cart to have on hand when we run out of ink! These materials will make a difference in students lives by meeting basic needs and providing some creature comforts.
