  • Colors to Unleash the Magic

    Funded Aug 19, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting my music classroom. My students love to draw and color when they are listening to music being played or when they are creating their own music. My students are going to love the new crayons and pencils that you donated to them. I love being able to grow their creativity in various ways and using other disciplines like visual arts, science, math, social studies, and ELA. Using visual arts allows my students to make deeper connections to the music that they may never had listened to before.

Thank you again for your support of my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hans

  • Better Sounding Programs

    Funded Mar 27, 2024

Thank you so much for your generosity in donating to my project. The new microphones have been a life saver. They sound amazing and have enhanced our programs and assemblies. They are rechargeable so I am not having to replace batteries all the time. I can easily set them up for the students to practice their parts during class and rehearsals. They love using them.

One of the fun things we do with the microphones, is when we are singing in a group, I will go around and have different students sing in the microphone so they can hear how they sound. It encourages the students to sing using their best voices and they have fun using the microphone.

Again, thank you for helping my classroom”

  • Refilling the Ink Tank

    Funded Aug 15, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting my students and my classroom. Having ink for the printer has allowed me to print worksheets, manipulatives, and activity sheets for my students, along with all the things that I need to print for the administration and curriculum.

My students have loved the games we are playing using the manipulatives. They have also enjoy receiving coloring sheets and word searches for incentives for doing well in my classroom. I have been able to redo outdated and overused visuals on my wall making the room look fresh and new.”

  • Copying Up Fun!

    Funded Jan 14, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom by giving to my project. My students have learned so much and have had so much fun with the materials provided in this project. My students have been able to use manipulatives to help them learn the key concepts that I teach. They have been able to get copies of the music, so they can see it while they practice their parts. We have been able to print color sheets as rewards for a job well done. My students and I are so grateful for generous people like you.”

  • Learning Playtime

    Funded Nov 30, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom. My students have loved using the counting cubes during center-time. They have learned so much through playing learning games and center time. The cubes have also helped them show me what they know the skills that I am assessing at the time. The laminating pouches have helped me create new visuals and manipulatives for the centers. I have laminated game pieces for learning games. Overall, my students have loved using the counting cubes and the things that I have been able to create with the laminating pouches.”

  • Printing Up Some Fun!

    Funded Oct 5, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting our classroom. Having a printer for my classroom has been a lifesaver. It allows me to be able to print up games for my students to help them learn. I have been able to print reading materials for my reading students. I can print things when I need them and not have to send them to someone else and wait until they can get around to it. My students have been excited about the materials the I have printed for them. Furthermore, I have been able to contact parents when I have needed to send them communication.”

  • Drumming Up...Shhh!

    Funded Aug 28, 2022

Thank you so very much for helping to fund my project on Donors Choose. My students have loved playing on the new practice pads. Many of them are loving the fact that there is a lot less noise during drum time. My fellow teachers are also loving less noise from the Music room. I have used them to keep students actively involved while other students play on our big drums. They have enjoyed being able to use drumsticks to play and give their hands a break from playing on the big drums without sticks. Thank you again.”

  • Movers and Shakers

    Funded Feb 16, 2022

My students are loving the new scarves and egg shakers. They are enjoying all having egg shakers with vibrant colors that they can use during Music. My younger students have used the scarves to move to music and add a little splash of color to the songs. My older students have used the scarves as props for a poem and the eggs for sound effects. The eggs allow all my students to play the steady beat at the same time without making a ton of noise that disturbs the other classes. The new materials have helped my students explore music in new ways. Thank you to all of you who donated to this project!”

  • Keeping Our Carpets Clean

    Funded Dec 22, 2021

Thank you so much for your generosity in funding projects at low income urban schools. My students love seeing and using new materials that would not be available to them without people like you. This project will allow me to clean and maintain my new carpets. It will allow me to vacuum my carpets and floors on a daily basis. It will also allow me to shampoo the carpets and do spot cleans when I need to clean up after students. It will also allow me to keep the carpets sanitized from little hands.”

Hi! I am an Orff Music teacher in a low income school in Memphis, TN. I expect the best from all my students no matter what their best is. I am very creative and have many lessons that teach the students to be creative thinkers also. I enjoy having the students put music to literature, short stories, and poetry. I love to show them the science and math (my favorite subjects) behind the music. We perform songs and music from all over the world and my students love to find the place of origin on the map. The students in my classes love learning new things in fun creative ways.
