Funded Mar 9, 2016Dear #BestSchoolDay,
Thank you so much for the wonderful gift. My students use their cubbies everyday. Now, sweaters are seldom lost and personal items are no longer misplaced.
My students LOVE using the science cart. We use it as our science center where we have seen butterflies grow and currently we are using it to lean about the life cycle of plants. It has brought many moments of discovery and learning.
We also use the speaker daily to sing songs that review learned concepts and to dance which my students can not get enough of.
Your gift will be used for years to come. Thank you for choosing us!”

Mrs. Noriega
Reading Is Soaring
Funded Feb 17, 2014Thank you so much for your generosity! My students love the books that you provided for us. I have seen their interest in reading soar. With your gift, most of my class is reading at grade level and beyond. Your gift has made it possible for us to have a leveled classroom library and now every student in my class has five books that are a right fit to read during independent reading time. I have one student who came into my classroom knowing no English, now she is reading at a first grade level! This would not be possible without you because regardless of how much I teach, if students do not have the resources they need their growth would be stunted. Thank you for believing in what we do and for investing in your community!”

Mrs. Noriega
Not Just Legos
Funded Feb 17, 2014Thank you so much for the wonderful blocks. My students are over the moon with them. In the beginning it was obvious that so many of them had not played with Legos before because they didn't quite know what to do with them. However, these last two months, I have seen the complexity of their buildings increase. Not only is there a surge in their creativity, but also in the complexity of their storytelling. Building time has become one of their favorite things to do. They enjoy the challenge of building bigger and bigger structures as well as structures that resemble the things they see every day. Also, Thank you for making this possible!”

Let's Get Organized!
Funded Aug 30, 2012Thank you so much for the chair pockets and the caddies you donated. They have helped my class immensely in being and staying organized. This is such an essential skill for my young students and a skill that will help them achieve their goals later in life.
It is donors like you that continue to motivate me to become a better teacher, not because of what you give, but because you believe in education, in students, and in me. With all the budget cuts education has had recently it is great to know that there are donors like you who will support us.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Noriega

Funded Oct 3, 2010Thank you so much for your generous gift! My students greatly enjoy using the puppet theater. It is one of the most popular literacy centers. It is wonderful to see my students' imagination at work, even the most shy of students comes to life when they partake in this activity. I have seen many English Language Leaners grow in their oral development in part because of the puppet theater. Students have learned so much through this activity while having lots of fun. Thank you again for partnering with me in providing enriched learning experiences!”

Let's Play House
Funded Oct 15, 2009Thank you once again for your generous donation. My students are greatly enjoying your gift. It has been helping out not only in practicing self regulation skills, but also in English oral development.
I have seen students actively engage in the center and help one another follow accepted behavior and practice oral speaking skills with one another. More importantly, I have seen them carry these behaviors during structured instruction. Shy students are sharing aloud more and more active students are following rules better.
Your donation has made learning so much more fun. Thank you for caring and for giving.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Noriega
