AP World History students apply key concepts and five themes daily, which helps them organize and learn the information in a way that will help them do well on the AP exam since the wording of the questions on the exam are in line with the wording of the key concepts and themes. The students work individually and sometimes in small groups to apply the concepts and themes when we complete a unit or time period. At AP training our trainer gave us access to posters he created to help students learn and apply the key concepts and themes on a daily basis. He strongly recommended having the posters up all year so students can be reminded daily of what to focus on. Right now I have the information written on my board but I have to erase and rewrite the information as I need the board for other notes.
