Game Room 2020
Funded Aug 17, 2019Thank you so much for finding this project. I am really excited to get the game club up and running again this September. Students will be thrilled with some duplicate games for increased players, and some chess mentoring will definitely be in order! Be on the look out for great pictures to come!”

Environmental Board Games
Funded Mar 2, 2019Thank you so much for you donation! Students were SO excited to open NEW materials, purchased just for them. They were truly shocked that we were able to create a project, fundraise, and receive the materials so quickly! Students have been asking to play these games at lunch, after school, when teachers are absent, or when they have a free period.
We have been practicing our reading comprehension skills by following complex gaming instructions and watching others model play, teamwork through collaborative games, and asking clarifying questions when problems arise.
We have already determined which games we need multiples of (because they are so popular!) and which games we are ready to level up to, so be on the look out for game room project 2!
Thank you so much for bringing fun into our classroom!”

Art Support Materials
Funded Nov 13, 2017Thank you so much for funding this classroom project! We are very excited to improve our art classroom-- both aesthetically and organizationally with our salt lamps and trays. Additionally, we are really looking forward to test running our marbling project for the next unit. Thank you again for your donation.”

Friday Fun: Game Club
Funded Oct 2, 2017Students are coming in masses to play in the game room! We have Seniors only lunch Monday game room, and all grades game room Friday at lunch, and after school. Students have also asked to use some of the games while meeting individually or in groups with our guidance counselor.
Students were surprised by the amount of games we received in such short notice, all thanks to the rapid funding of the project! They are really excited to play games they haven't seen before, have been bringing friends (and other teachers!) to teach them new games, and overall are having a really good time! During first period kids come to sign up saying things like "I'm playing something fun today, I don't know what, but it's going to fun!", asking if friends I do not teach can come (to which the response is, of course!) and teachers have been surprised by the high activity as well, staying "this is a lot of brain power for a friday afternoon, keep it up!".
I am really looking forward to the progression of students involved-- and will continue to buy multiple or additional games throughout the year to fit the number of students. Thank you so much for your help in funding the project, and my students thank you too!”

Ms. Singleton
