The use of hand on activities and close up visual learning really connects with my students. I have spend hours upon hours making many different interaction tools for my students. The items I am requesting will supplement the work I have already done and help organize the educational environment in a way that is meaningful to learning for my students. This will allow them to learn functional concepts in a way that is meaningful and helpful for them. The tablets will support my students who have difficulty with writing and foundational skills in class. This will help my students who need assistance with basic spelling and sentence formation to use apps that will help students who are unable, due to their disability, to write and get their thoughts out and be able to share those thoughts with peers. This will allow them to be more independent which benefits them as well as their peers by allowing their classroom teacher to work with more students and not just focusing on what this specific student needs. They may also be used for differentiated instruction for students who are unable to read at their grade level, but are still able to interact with peers. This will allow them to be in their general education classrooms and completing work independently while still working on the concepts they need to learn.
