  • A Place for Everything and Everything in its Place

    Funded Aug 15, 2024

I would like to thank you for reading my project and your donations. An organized environment is super important because it helps students take ownership over the space, it gives them a sense of pride that their room is neat and organized and it lends to increase independence because students need you less when they are able to find things on their own. This all leads to an increase in self confidence and a more joy filled environment.

When I showed the students all of the beautiful bins and book displays, they wanted to help set them up right away and that was a nice way to collaborate and ensure they would be responsible for the materials we received.

We started organizing our bins by book series and using the book stands to highlight our favorite read aloud books for Black History Month. Our display has caught the eye of other students and even some teachers.”

I am so grateful and my heart is full because you all took the time to read my project and make a donation. I was also very touched by the beautiful messages and words on encouragement. • Marvelous Mathematicians!

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Thank you so much for taking the time to donate to this project! The materials for this project have helped my students become better mathematicians and have helped increase their engagement and confidence. In addition, I've noticed a sense of more independence from my students and their willingness to try new things in math.

Through the games and use of manipulative, so many are now able to understand mathematical concepts that they couldn't grasp prior and are not helping their classmates and teaching their parents at home! It's been incredible to witness!”

I can't wait to tell my students and teach them how to use the supplies to continue to have a beautiful library! These materials will ensure a safe, clean and fun filed libary for my students. We wholeheartedly thank you!”

  • Bringing Books to Life!

    Funded Nov 28, 2023

I want to take this time to thank you again for fulfilling this project. My students were so excited when the boxes arrived and the thought of incorporating art into our lessons was truly inspiring and exciting for us all! We did a unit on winter books with snowmen as characters and then used the modeling clay to build our own snowman. We learned how to use the modeling clay, how to mix the colors to create new colors and how to use utensils and other manipulatives to add details to our creations. It was a lot of fun and something my students will remember forever. Another class created a wall of heroes based on biographies they read and one of the students used her watercolors to create a portrait of the person she read about. Overall this project was much needed because we don't have art as a specialty in my school. Students were able to use their creativity to create something fun and collaborate with their classmates!”

  • Goodbye Germs, Hello Clean Environment!

    Funded Jan 11, 2023

Thank you for your donations and well wishes! All the cleaning supplies in this project came at the right time and really helped all of us stay safe and healthy this school year. I taught my students how and when to use the supplies and they were able to do with independence after a few months. It was great to see them take care of the classroom by keeping it tidy, organized and clean.

My students were very surprised to see so many containers of wipes, tissues, bounty, etc and that it was all for them! We discussed how to be responsible with the materials so that they would last for the entire school year. Many parents told me during parent teacher conferences that when they go to the supermarket or target, their child tells them which wipes, tissues or type of hand sanitizer to buy because it's the one we use in our classroom. I thought that was really funny and impactful.

Thank you all so very much!”

  • Our Eyes Are On The Prize... We Need School Supplies!

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

Thank you very much for your donations and well wishes. These school supplies were essential in providing so many students the materials they needed to learn and to have a clean and organized learning environment. Furthermore, having the necessary supplies available gave the students ownership over the classroom and created more independent students.

When the boxes started to arrive, I informed that students what they might find inside and how I was able to get all of these awesome supplies for them. Their eyes widened and they kept asking who the donors were and if I could invite them to the school! They all promised to take care of the supplies and not be wasteful.

Thank you all once again for making this school year a memorable one for my students!”

  • Extra, Extra, Read All About It!

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this proposal and fund it with your donations. When the box of books started to arrive, we had a meeting on the rug to open the box. The expression on the faces of the students were priceless. They were so excited to see so many cool books and some of them with characters that look like them!

We've done a few author studies with the books and studied the main character across the text, jotting our observations and making precise predictions based on what we already know about how the author writes and how the character behaves and reacts to various problems.

Reading in my classroom varies as some students enjoy reading on their own and have the opportunity to do so. Other students enjoy reading with a buddy or on their own but next to someone. Lastly, all of my students love being read to and I make sure that we are actively engaged in a wonderful read aloud daily.”

  • A Clean Start to a New School Year!

    Funded Aug 10, 2022

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and donate to this project! Your donations help fully fund this project and provide my students with the materials they need to keep an organized and clean environment. Therefore, helping to not spread germs and keeping us healthy.

The items are easily accessible to all the students and paraprofessionals. In addition, they are products that are clean and safe for children to use. My students were excited to see that when there's a spill or if they get a crayon/pencil mark on the tables, they can quickly grab a wipe and clean up without any worries. They can easily use hand sanitizer when needed as well.

We had a discussion about how to use the products in a responsible way so we're not being wasteful and we can have materials until the end of the school year.”
