  • Technology to the Students

    Funded Oct 12, 2017

Thank you so much for the iPads for my students. One of the biggest motivators for students to finish their work is to be able to play on the iPads that we have.

We frequently use a program, Reflex Math in which students are able to build on their fact fluency and I have seen incredible growth in their ability to solve programs and be successful solving programs.

Ipads in my classroom are great as it cuts down on the time in which students spend logging onto and booting up technology. The cases and other methods we have used have kept these iPads safe and in good condition. The generosity to help out makes such a large difference in a classroom where motivating students isn't always easy to come by.

    Thank you so much”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Davison

  • Learning With Friends!

    Funded Oct 4, 2017

Thank you so much for your contribution, my students are able to accomplish small group work much easier with these premade stations. When the students were able to work together they were so excited to share answers, write on the boards and to collaborate together. This helped me so much as a teacher to not have to purchase this with my own money or make one taking hours to construct. I would love to continue building the stations to address the multitude of standards that students must learn in a year.

As a teacher, the time to make stations is limited when your to-do list runs off the page. These stations are great tools for me to be able to get students to gather together, solve problems, and have some fun doing this.

Usually, in order to get stations together, it takes research, coloring, and cutting, and putting these together in a folder or drawer to be able to get these games to the students. My students love when they are able to play with these stations, although not often because of instruction as the year moves on we are able to get these stations more often as we learn the material.

I thank you so much for the ability to collaborate, challenge, and inspire my students without having to spend my own money, and be able to spend money on pizza parties, prizes, and other items for my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Davison

Small groups are largely considered one of the best ways to help struggling students to understand topics deeper and gain mastery. These activities are an added asset to my students because they can often be looking for other ways to solve problems in a unique and different way. Students can move to math games or folders to move away from boring worksheets to challenging their neighbor and engaging their thinking in fun and different ways. These math activities include engaging and expanding activities to further thinking and allow students to be able to have fun learning. The pictures and pre-made problems that are set up in these folders and centers will cause students to be more excited to further their thinking.
