Students are able to use calculators on the statewide end-of-year assessment. I would like for them to have adequate practice with calculators in class so that they are comfortable with them when it's time for testing. In the real world, most students won't pick up a pencil and paper to multiply three digit numbers, but they will use the calculator on their cell phone. As they use them in class daily, their skills will improve. I want my students to be fluent with their math operations in order to solve complex problems. These scientific calculators will help achieve that goal.
