Our school caters to newly-arrived immigrant students to Boston from countries all over the world including Haiti, Cape Verde, Dominican Republic, Peru, Vietnam, Somalia, and Guatemala. They are thrilled to live and learn in Boston. They continue to inspire me with their passion and resilience as they navigate their new communities and lives despite a wave of unemployment, food insecurity, and homelessness concerns, especially among this uncertain and anxious time. I am asking for your help in purchasing an iPad Pro and Apple pencil to enhance remote Math teaching for my students. As a math teacher, I depend on teaching lessons through visual instruction. With the iPad, I could use the "sharing screen" feature to teach my lessons. This would help my students to follow along with instruction as we work through material and practice problems during our Zoom classes. The use of the iPad would greatly enhance the remote learning experience of my students through the remainder of the 2019-2020 academic year and throughout our five-week innovative summer enrichment program as well.
