The best way to learn math is to do it! I have a lot of students and not a lot of supplies. I'm trying to earn funds for a basic necessity in my classroom. Writing utensils for my classroom as well as for the 15 other math classrooms at my overcrowded classroom. My school would love to be able to get more students engaged during lessons as well as do more group work. It is difficult when we have to support our own classroom supplies, especially when all classrooms have whiteboards instead of chalkboards. I go through about 5-6 whiteboard markers a week, and I'm having to slow down my student engagement because don't have the money to purchase the kind of dry erase markers I need to continue to facilitate that learning.
