With about 70% of the jobs available now requiring skills in computer science, we have to equip our students with the skills to contribute to our technology-driven society and find good paying (and fun) jobs. Coding, programming, and robotics are a big deal right now and will only get bigger and more prevalent in our country. The need for students graduating with a degree in computer science is huge! Ozobots solve this problem by giving my 5th graders the opportunity to write lines of code and program the Ozobot to walk, run, spin, and flash its lights. This highly engaging activity will be used the entire school year! My students have already been learning how to write code, and I already have the Chromebooks which are equipped with the software needed to write the code and upload it to the Ozobots. All I need are the Ozobots!
