Surprise Me with School Supplies!
Funded Mar 29, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donation! Your generosity has purchased new school supplies for my class such as pencil boxes and scissors. Without your generous donation I usually purchase these supplies out of my own pocket.
Your donation is important to help me teach my students how to stay organized. When they clean up their desks I expect everything to be in their boxes and their boxes shut. I also place name tags on their boxes so substitutes can look at the pencil boxes and know who each student is without following a seating chart.
Each year I depend on generous supporters such as yourselves. It seems our districts think less of us each year but I am grateful that you wanted to contribute to our future.”

Make Room with Over-the-Chair Storage!
Funded Oct 11, 2022My students and I LOVE the extra storage your donations has given us! We now have more available space to use on the tops of our desks. We use the chair storage to hold our books for Reading Workshop. Not only does it save us space, we no longer need our large ziplock bags to hold our books which took up room on our desks.
Your donation has also made our classroom run more smoothly. Students have an easier time reaching into their storage bags behind their chairs rather than fumbling with plastic bags.”

Come Together, Right Now, on Our New Rug!
Funded Aug 31, 2022Thank you fo much for your generous donation! Your generosity has brought this new, plush rug to our class! They love sitting on it to listen to stories and lessons. I love the squares that help students understand their personal space. This is the first rug my students have had to sit on in years!
I am excited to bring lessons and read aloud time back to the rug. It also gives the students a chance to get up and move around the classroom rather than sitting at their desks all day. Ever since COVID began students have been limited in their movements around the room so this is a huge improvement to the classroom! Thank you all so much!”

Funded Aug 14, 2022My students love learning about different topics through a new medium. Magazines have brought a whole new light to literacy in my class. I see students imitating what adults must look like to them holding up their magazines like newspapers and crinkling the paper, looking very official. It's adorable!
Students learn facts about topics such as nocturnal animals, fall, and other topics that pertain to their world. They can also answer questions on the back of magazines and discuss with partners some of the new information they've learned.
In the past, I've had students write to me and tell me how they've visited landmarks such as Mr. Rushmore and they remember reading about it in the magazines we read in class. Through those experiences I've vowed to continue applying for magazines through Donors Choose every year in the hopes of bringing these connections to students!”

Teachers Inspire Teachers
Funded Nov 10, 2021Thank you for your generous support! Teachers often share and inspire each other with their creative ideas and Teachers Pay Teachers is a way to share fun and inviting lessons that help students learn about various subjects or make an event extra special.
I've purchased materials from other teachers to help enhance my STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) lessons, to write letters to Veterans, to celebrate the 50th and 100th day of school, and more!
Teachers Pay Teachers has been a very helpful resource to me in my classroom. Thank you for helping me to fund this project.”

Funded Nov 10, 2021Thank you so much for your generous support! Teachers rely on projectors to project images to help students learn. When my projector is out it makes my job that much harder to provide visuals to my students. Now that my project is funded I can rest assured that the next time my bulb burns out, I will have a back up!
My students enjoy so many things that are projected for them such as Go Noodle videos that they can dance to for brain breaks and exercise. They also watch YouTube videos that help teach grammar, math, science, social studies, and more!
I so appreciate your support, thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Funded Aug 12, 2021My students have been enjoying the Scholastic magazines that you helped fund! Students have been reading about current events, articles about seasons, Veterans, giving back during Thanksgiving, and more! What's more is they've been practicing their reading and comprehension skills.
These magazines not only introduce interesting topics and facts, they also check comprehension through multiple choice questions. They have been acting as a mentor text to students to learn how to write informational text. Students have been writing All About books and are learning how to include facts, create drawings with labels such as diagrams, and can see through these magazines how to teach their reader.”

Funded Oct 23, 2020Thank you so much for your generous donation. While we will be using the materials differently this year, we will definitely be needing them in the future. I plan to use the materials to help create a welcoming classroom environment once we are able to return to an in person classroom setting.
This year I relocated classrooms and was in disparate need of materials for my bulletin boards, school supplies, and name tags. While I am still anticipating needing these materials we just won't be able to use them right now but rest assured that your donations will go to good use and I will definitely put these materials to good use once we return to class in person.”

Funded Oct 31, 2020Thank you so much for your support! Teachers Pay Teachers has been such an important resource for me to bring educational resources that are fun, visually stimulating, and helpful to my classroom. I've used Power Point presentations for Red Ribbon Week, book covers for publishing at the end of a unit in Writer's Workshop, activities for the 50th day of school, alphabet charts for my parents at home, and I am looking forward to being able to use so much more thanks to the generous donations of the education community and its supporters.”

Technology Helps Literacy!
Funded Jan 17, 2020Thank you so much for your generous donations! Headphones are much needed items for computers, stories on disc, and tablets. Our school has purchased an ipad cart so students can have time on tablets, accessing educational websites. Your donation allows them to be on their tablets without disturbing others. As you can imagine 25 tablets on at the same time can be noisy, with your contribution they can be on their tablets and be able to concentrate without listening to their neighbor's tablet as well.
Headphones also break easily so your donation helps us replace the broken headphones in our classroom. Thank you again for your generosity, kindness, and thoughtfulness.”
