• Sensory Breaks in a PreK Classroom for Students With Disabilities

  I am overwhelmed with gratitude as I write this note to thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support in funding our Sensory Break Materials project through DonorsChoose. Because of your incredible contributions, my students now have access to essential sensory tools such as fidgets, squishies, and other calming materials that will make a tremendous difference in their daily learning experiences.

  In our classroom, we serve an amazing group of students with diverse abilities, many of whom experience sensory processing challenges. For these students, navigating a typical school day can sometimes feel overwhelming.”

  Thank you all so much for your kindness and generosity in supporting our students. These resources were shared with other classrooms within our Special education PreK classrooms, just like mine. These have been really useful during whole group instruction and allowing Teachers to engage their students. Our students have been engaged and made it so much easier to interact with the students and to model as we are teaching at the smartboard.
